If you bought LOTR OST (original sound track), with the cover of the movie poster (not sure about the other version), it says "Enhanced CD". Well, that's why it is enhanced: he has 6 great pics and some web links that are quite cool.

Kmad, that's why I havent posted my desktop here, im sure it will last just few seconds...but I can try it ;)

I have deleted my desktop - ten minutes of work in Regedit and voila... no desktop at all.
I mean I've deleted some desktop properties - now the icons can't be placed on it, so It looks a bit 'cleaner' than it was before ( all these rec/bins, documents my comp and stuff just irritated me all the time ), I have also deleted the desktop functions - right clicking on a screen causes nothing now.

It's easy to get rid of My Documents and My Computer icons.
It's in Desktop properties a option to do that, IIRC.
All it requires is to uncheck a box!

i've done this long time ago, so I'm not sure about the tree - it must be HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current version/policies/explorer - in this folder make a DWORD parameter called 'No DeskTop' and change its value to 1.
I know it works in Win98 plus (not sure about SE), it also should work in Millenium.

You know what the whole idea was not the name of the movie (I wasn't even interested in that motion picture, in fact I didn't even completed the download) it was the speed that was important. :mad:

Today this desktop is used, I really like the bluish color-range in this picture. It's looks suprisinly well even when the room is nearly in darkness, in fact it looks better in a sparse lighted room.

Belive me when I'm saying Sunet is fast, very fast (it has nothing to do with DC++, but trust me on another thing DC++ is much better than regular DC) and I'm having fast broadband. So it's possible to even get higer speed than 7.7 megs/second (if you download from the correct user).

Well, that's easy. Right Click on the Desktop>Properties>Appearance

Or if you want to go super cool (like me), you can go to http://www.windowblinds.net/ and dl their free app that goes beyond the three basic ones you get in XP.

Use Print Screen/SysRq button to record your desktop (make sure you are on the desktop)
Then use ctrl V to paste it into your fave paint package.

Save it as a jpeg or gif, I recommend jpeg.

If your jpeg image is below 100kb, use the 'attach file' option on the posting screen.

Or perhaps you could upload a bigger jpeg to the archives by using the upload to server option at the bottom of the screen.

Then all you do is use the IMG button to indicate where the URL of your image is located!

how does one get an image to work from another website? I don't feel I should waste CFC storage here.

First you need the address of the image. You can get this by right clicking the image and selecting properties. At least, in IE you can. I'm not sure about the others.

Once you have the addy for the image, put it inside image tags, and it will pull it up.

Here goes mine:

This is the view from my computer desk (or would be if it wasn't for the monitor). There's two king parrots on the left and, on the right, a pale headed rosella.

The setup is a little different now, with One or Two seed squares on the pato grill, just under a meter to the left of the door and Three seed trays one where the king parrot is on the right, one where the rosella is and one, with catfood in, next to the brick pillar on the right.

I think they just are in the way, and messes up a nice looking desktop.

The most used software is easy to make shortcuts on the toolbar. So there's no need for desktop-icons as I see it.

Yikees that skin to winamp is gigantic. Isn't winamp3 full of bugs?

One other thing, it takes up to much valueable space. I like winamp 2 better, it really can get mini-malistic. W8 a couple of minutes and I show in a post.

I show here how small winamp2 can be in minimalistic-mode.

How do you save a picture of your desktop?

Press PrintScreen, and then paste it in any image editor, I use IrfanView for simple modifications, and Gimp for others.
Both of these programs are freeware.

Object Desktop, by StarDock

The icon launcher (only vaugely similar to Mac OSX) is Object Dock, a freeware [perpetual] beta product.

The icons on the left side are part of the WindowsFX software.

Strardock does a lot fo freeware and shareware GUI mod software and games. They have an excellent new game called Galactic Civilizations that is similar to a game you should be familiar with.

The wallpaper is one I made from the Akira move poster.

I've done that to my wife. . . I had the network connections TCP/IP dialog copied to the desktop because I was messing around with some settings, and she kept trying to close it out.

I used to do that at work to, on our Windows98 boxes. I would make a screenie of the login box, make it the desktop, move all the icons off-screen, and then watch them try to log into it. Great fun!

Just take one picture go to paint and so "Invert colors" it make it the picture look so much good, somthimes..

(esapicaly clowds, huge ice cubes :lol:, and mountains... and nature stuff...)
