Looks like a great start. I know people have complained about the deck color but this carrier had a light brown wooden deck as well. I like your wooden decks. Anyway, looks great! Any idea when you might have it finished off?

I'll give it some time to feedback before I start on it but I have devised some new ways of making units faster and whit better shadows so it's not going to be that long perhaps before February

I like it a lot, even the color. The only thing is that it seems a bit difficult to see (dark). Other than that, it looks great.

Wonderful, but the colours will make it look "odd" with the other Civ3/PTW units of the WW2 period.

Sort out the colour and I'm sure this will be a very popular unit to download!

:goodjob:

I think I should have made a pol asking what colour do you want on this unit;)

Also very good. But I think, the line on the deck is too blue.
Not, if it is the player-colour.

Hmmm. Why not a very bright pink with light green strips?

More seriously, did you try to send me an email for the pictures of modern ships I have? I didn't received anything

Looking good! My only criticism is that the hangar doors look a bit too tall, and the deck seems slightly too high above the bows.

Plus I vote for wooden decks.

But whether you change it or not, I'll be using it eagerly. Keep up the great work.

I really like the deck color. It goes with existing units a lot better than wood.

i love the unit, but i'd get rid of the '5' since that number is supposed to differentiate the carriers but cant change within the game. I'd put something simply like an arrowpoint.

My reason for putting the number there in the first place was that I couden't deside what to put there
I think I'll add some civ specific colour to the bridge and perhaps some more to the deck and then remove the number

Looks real good. Shedoes seem to ride a little high in the water. I would suggest reducing the height of the hanger deck and doors. Look at this picture of Enterprise CV-6, she was Yorktwn class and essentially identical.

I allready reduced the height of the hangar doors and hull
The picture is just a bit outdated

I wouden't say that if I where I would have updated my first post or posted a new one
But here is the new one

NO colour changes at this stage
The changes are a bit hard to see but the ship lies 20% lower and the hangar doors' height have been reduced by 25%

I have just one concern. Your ships seems a bit to big compared to CivIII. WWII carrier should be smaller by modern nuclear carrier.
Of course, we could wait for you to make new modern carrier (I'll post a zip with the Charles de Gaulle soon), but perhaps you could make them a bit more to scale?
Otherwise, I'll have to use SBB, and make an "alone" formation using the size reduction feature!

The in game FLC will probably be smaller

Akula

It will I can't make it larger than 240x240 in FLICster and the image attached is 640x480 so it's going to be somewhat smaler in game

I'm going to wait a bit on starting on this one I need to finish the Shokaku and I allso think I'll finish an IJN Kongo class battleship before I start on this one (plus I can't deside on what colour to use)
