Before anyone says anything: I've looked through the entire Sounds Creation thread and the Tutorials section, and I can't do a search because AMB is only 3 letters.
Anyway, here's my question:
Does anyone know how to create/modify AMB sound files?
Thanks,
Colonel

Well, good question, I also want to know this...
Just one thing - you can use also simple .wav files instead of those AMBs.

Well, the cool thing about the AMB files is that they combine several wave files together and layer them, combining together to produce a cool sound effect.
I'd like to be able to do this. :)

I asked someone a while ago, and they told me they could modify them, but they had to keep the length of the names of the wav files identical.

This is just what I need to help me fix the new multi-figure sound file 'screech'!
Help me somebody!

From what I can tell opening an AMB file in WinWord, is that you'd need a hex editor to modify the file. I have no clue how to use a hex editor. :(

you can always simply modify the wav parts in soundrecorder, but keep the same name.
so workerfootstep1.wav could be a the sound of a tank firing and workerstep2.wav could be a sound of the treads turning....
then take those files and drop them into your file, along with workerwalk.amb, and in your tank's ini for attack: put workerwalk.amb
