i downloaded snoopys graphics mod but for some reason it only alf worked, and didn't show his grasslands, plains, coasts or seas, so i had to re-install because it was half and half.
i re-installed it and it did the exact same thing. so i uninstaled it,and it said it deleted everything, not a single file left. but when i went to install it, i put the CD back in and it still recognised it and asked iti wanted to play, uninstall or reinstall. i clicked play and nothing happened. i clicked reinstall and, although it says it removes everything, when i look itn add/remove programs, civ3 is still there. it will do exactly the same if i try and uninstall it, or remove it from add/remove programs.
there is no option to install and the game will now not run.
any advise, cause i've tried everythig, including running the setup.exe file from the CD and nothing happens.
:(

With 1.29? Or PTW? With PTW, you can just put it in the 1.29 folder. Also, to uninstall, go to your control panel, and select the install/uninstall programs, and uninstall all civ programs and patches. Then, reinstall Civ.

Do you have a CD Burner, if you do, burn your immportant stuff on CD's and format you hard drive. Reinstall your crap andyour comp should run better

@farting bob: sounds like the problem I had. Do you have XP Pro?
If so, try this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34533) . At the end of the discussion, I found the answers to all my frustrations.
If it doesn't help, contact Infogrames.

@Perfection: Are you really trying to help with this kind of advise?

Yes, of course... But isn't it a bit drastic? There's a bug in the uninstall program of vanilla CIV3 under Windows XP Pro and by removing 1 or 2 files everything is OK.
