I always liked Civ because it's the most detailed and realistic strategy game for more than 15 years now imo

Playing immortal/deity, prefer huge maps and long games. scenario's where you start at the same time/location of picked CIV and just replay the history with objectives something like Rome total war is just awesome. I think Civ really has to focus on this side more than they do now.

Anyway...what to do now?
1better to play civ 4 cause of the available mods and realistic gameplay?
2which mods to use to keep it as realistic as possible ? I heard that the economy MOD is a must but also heard a lot of the changed already with the latest patch? Better mods maybe for civ 4??

:goodjob:

I'd say V is actually more realistic, which I like in a game like it:
1. City-states
2. 1upt
3. City bombardment

1 - Playing immortal/deity, you must be an acomplished player?

2 - Playing huge maps, you must have a damn good pc!

1 - Rome Total war is my favourite game, I just love the way some of the family members become corrupt! I loved playing as Britain with all the drunken uncles (so true to life)! Kick ass and show the Romans the way to go home!

2 - I know where you are coming from, I would love to play as England on a World map with a guarenteed English start position. I wouldn't care if it took me 10,000hrs and five years, I would keep trying until I could hopefully win on the hardest level. I guess I am a silly patriotic old git!

I hear we are going to have to wait a long while for Rhyes and Fall for Civ5 to come out.. if it ever does. I think for now you will have to do with the DLC scenarios for some sweet historical-ish semi-realistic scenarios. And if you want more, go back to Civ4 and play RFC(or some other mod.. but nothing beats RFC imo :P)
