Cilpot Nov 15, 2002, 09:24 AM Magic the Gathering!!!! And Axis and Allies... Sometimes chess and sometimes backgammon... But MTG is my favourite game of all time... more so than civ!! Mainly because of the social aspect...
Dell19 Nov 15, 2002, 04:01 PM Chess and, um... chess
Cantankerous Nov 18, 2002, 10:36 PM I grew up playing Star Fleet Battles and fell in love with its strategic version, Federation and Empire.
I still play F&E every so often, but usually it's difficult to find face-to-face opponents.
MajorGeneral2 Nov 19, 2002, 07:15 PM I don't play many board games, but go is my favorite, though it's hard to find anyone to play with, besides online. The only other board game I play is... (surprise!) chess.

tctatheel7 Dec 06, 2002, 09:28 PM i like axis & allies (hard to find opponents(rest of family likes risk better)), risk (my dad always beats me), chess (my dad always beats me again), and i hope to get the civ board game soon. Monopoly is fun occaisonally (but my mom always wins)
Flatlander Fox Dec 06, 2002, 09:50 PM If you've got a mind for strategy, then I suggest you try out the greatest game ever made: Diplomacy!
Just look up in this forum for details.
mordhiem Dec 08, 2002, 09:52 AM Chess - Officaily The Ultimate Boardgame Ever!
Diplomacy - A Very Close Second!
I also dabble in Warhammer and of course, the odd Monopoly or Game of Life family contest (which I usually win :D). Suprisingly enough, I don't play Mordheim!

Narz Dec 23, 2002, 01:53 AM I made up a board game when I was a kid, I think the babysitter played it once with me but she didn't really get it... My parents thought it was cute and probably threw it out. Oh well :)
These days I mostly play chess although I have reached a plateau (in my skill level) and am kind of bored with it. I love Risk though I haven't played in many years.
I made another board game that I still have that is played on a large grid and involves submarines (no not Battleship  ). When I learn some programming skills I want to put it online and sell it to Yahoo.com. I only actually played my game two times (both of which I lost :D ).
