Everyone in this forum is overlooking the greatest game of all time; Minesweeper. A game of skill and concentration, balanced with speed, Minesweeper is without a doubt the best game ever.

To me, it's a fight between Civilization II and Unreal Tournament, which is hard to compare ofcourse...

But when Civilization III will be released, it will definitely be the best game ever! And Minesweeper, http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif, I don't think so...

I, too, rank CivII WAY ahead of Minesweeper, even though it isn't a bad game.

Minesweeper becomes somewhat monotonous after a time...whereas Civ just get more and more interesting.

Civ II or minesweeper... hmmm....... tough choice. Do you seriously love minesweeper Mr Sparkle? I can't believe that you're not winding us up.........

Hey, maybe you should start a minesweepers fanatics website.......

Or, maybe you can do a patch, where you sweep mines in Civ II...

Nice one Mr Sparkle - now you have discovered that magic combination, the sky's the limit...

Or maybe..what you could do is set up a real life minesweeper game with all those people who love minesweeper, only make it insanely difficult...I'll even help to set up the mines. Now this is a great idea! http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/lol.gif

Just kidding MrSparkle.

Greatest Board Game Ever: Diplomacy. All strategy, no dice, and the ability to ruin friendships in one single stroke of a pen.

Greatest Comp Game ever: Civ II. "nuff said.

Greatest Video game ever: "Utopia" on the old intellivision systems. Loved placing those rebels and sinking the other guys fishing boats<IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>. You can download it for free at: www.intellivisionlives.com. (http://www.intellivisionlives.com.) A close second is Madden 2001 on Playstation.

My record was 6 seconds! http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/avatar.gif

But normally I die (because I click too fast) or I get 10 to 12 seconds.

Minesweeper is realtime. Sometimes you just have to guess where the mine is hidden. Maybe you should create a turnbased minesweeper game on your minesweeper fanatics website, MrSparkle! I'd love to hear how many people signed up for your Turnbased Minesweeper Game Of The Month. And what will the best player get? The Turnbased Minesweeper Game Of The Month Trophy? http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/lol.gif

Minesweeper games is going a bit faster, so I will suggest Minesweeper Game of the Week or Minesweeper game of the Fortnight and then of course trophies Minesweeper Week Trophy and Minesweeper Fortnight Trophy.

I've allways been partial to tetris. Othello isn't too bad either. It seems to be a game with few enough choices that even the computer can keep up sometimes. http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif

Your not making a good start for your civfanatics career there, bondetamp. Your first 100 posts should be about civ and civ only http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/lol.gif
Anyway, I think for the quick game I did enjoy tetris on the gameboy. Besides that, I also liked Gargoyle's Quest very much. Did anyone ever play that game (and finish it? I did!)

Bubble Bobble. I still play it with a the C64 emulator..
Tetris has stand the test of time.

But how many remember it of you guys?

Minesweeper is cool, I agree. My times:

Beg. 4s

But to compare it to civ makes you a very naughty boy! http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/spanking.gif

I think Black & White is the best game ever! It's really a great game!
For the people that don't know B&W (yet):
You're a god and you can choose an animal which you have to raise. You can learn him things like dancing and to get food from a farm, but also to use magic and to fight. You have to make a lot of chooses between good and evil (black and white)and the whole game depents on those chooses.
