I've searched the forums, but been unable to find an answer for how to show FPS on Mac. Help appreciated.

Try this?

If your in any game dealing with Steam bring down the developers console(~) then type in cl_showfps 1 to see fps in the upper right hand corner.

Nothing happened when typing "~".

You might need to Shift-TAB first to bring up the Steam overlay. Not sure, I've never done this myself.

That's only for source engine games. Civ 5 does not run on the source engine.
