When I go to load a saved game it goes to about 3% and comes up with an error saying DatalO system error: GAME. Then it comes up with a message saying unable to read file: (then it says file path of my saved game).
When I go to start a new game it goes to about 3% then just goes back to the main menu, with no message.

I have Civ3 version 1.07f

First, try upgrading to the latest version (1.29f). Can be downloaded here (ftp://ftp.infogrames.net/patches/civ3/Civ3v129f.exe).

The problem started when I downloaded v1.29f. when i downloaded the patch civ3 wouldn't work. So I got the original civ3 out of the zip. file it was put in when i installed the patch and tried that. Then I got this problem.
