View Full Version : Top 5 game series (pc)
dreadknought Jan 31, 2003, 04:27 PM I thought it would be cool to get everyone who wonts to name their top 5 game series. By this I mean games on the pc that have inspired others for example( everquest- civ-sims-baldors gate-age of empire- -unreal-starwars-...ect) I would say to consider the overall time these games have taken from your life as well as game value............dread

Lord_Vetinari Jan 31, 2003, 08:04 PM Would be hard for me to post a top five PC since I've played so much more console during my days. Therefore, I'm gonna ignore the PC rule and post top five game series from all platforms:
Tekken series
Civ series
FIFA series (altough some years were kinda lame)
Rainbow Six series
Final Fantasy series
Well, at least two out of the five were for PC :)
Unregister Jan 31, 2003, 08:36 PM Love the avatar Vetinari :)

2. Age of Empires
3. Simcity
4. Carnivores
5. Zoo Tycoon
ApocalypseKurtz Feb 02, 2003, 10:17 PM 1) Quake Series (marred somewhat by Quake 3 failing to meet lofty expectations, but for the exceptional 1st and 2nd games in the series it gets my vote for best series)
2) Civilization Series (all 3 are classics and each improves on the one before significantly)
3) Age of Empires/Mythology Series
4) Simcity Series
5) Command & Conquer / Red Alert Series
WildFire Feb 02, 2003, 11:43 PM What was wrong with Quake 3? Is it because it didnt really have a plot like Quake 2? Quake 3 was (I believe) soley made for online play.
Dell19 Feb 03, 2003, 01:58 PM No order:
Total war series
Age of empires series
Championship manager
Unreal Tournament
Oh and I guess I could include Civ

It was still a good game; it improves on graphics from the previous ones. I guess it just wasn't as groundbreaking as either Quake 1or Quake 2, and I consider the no-single player levels (besides deathmatch w/comp opponents) a big negative.
