When I tried installing Civ 3 it goes to about 70% and then comes up with an error saying "ACE error" and quits.
What is an ACE error and how can a fix it?

I am soooooooo sorry for reviving a topic that is all the way from February but no one replied and it's worth getting a reply to since I also am having this problem and have yet to find anyone online who could help me and since I'm not the only one who has experienced this problem, I think it's worth it to get an answer so that others may also benefit from it.

Do you get the same error if you copy the whole CD to the hard drive (assuming you have room) then try to install it?

Also, if available, try to install from a network drive. See if any of that helps.
