You shouldn't lose your stuff as long as it's not in a folder that Kazaa installed.

just install Kazaa Lite and move the files from the Kazaa Shared Folder file into the Kazaa Lite Shared Folder file.

What's the difference between Kazaa and Kazaa Lite?

Kazaa Lite doesn't have the spyware of kazaa, also, i don't think we're allowed to talk about P2P programs here, since it is piracy..

You know, we should probably stop telling people about Kazaa lite. Because once everyone converts there will be nobody to download from! :p

I was using Kazaalite in school, then installed kazaa just to see if i was missing something.
When I opened Kazaa, my downloads were the same and running as they were in Kazaalite.
I don't think there is much difference in to two, only that kazaa will install a load of adds and spyware onto your computer and slow it down.
I've also heard that its very hard to uninstal this spyware. (?)

It's not that hard at all actually. Download a program called Ad-aware (www.download.com). Uninstall Kazaa and then run this program. Then let it delete all spyware/adware, and then install Kazaa Lite.
