Woody Feb 08, 2003, 04:26 PM Try adding KeepRes=1 to your civilization3.ini file, that tells the game to run civ III at the same resolution as your windows desktop. I think the minimum is 1024x768. stormbind Feb 08, 2003, 04:33 PM I think he means his monitor doesn't like 1024x768 :( But it may still be possible to achieve as many monitors from circa 1995 allow 1024x768 at lower refresh rate (bad for the eyes). You would really need to lookup the specs for the specific monitor and adjust Windows display settings to match. If the PC is equally old, it's entirely possible that it's an issue with the graphics card or drivers. Many circa. 1995 have only 1Mb or 2Mb onboard memory :( This is really an issue for a tech-support site, it's not Civ3 specific. piderman Feb 09, 2003, 02:43 AM I'd say upgrade your monitor. A very decent 17" CRT-monitor capable of 1024x768 costs about $150-$200. So, what are you waiting for? china444 Feb 09, 2003, 09:38 AM Originally posted by piderman I'd say upgrade your monitor.
