when i start a new game and directly after i create my first settlement i can't see any techs, the tree is there but it's all blank, i can't click anywhere either so i'm stuck at turn 1. I've tried vanilla and other mods they worked fine.

i've tried everything, different versions, different paths, uninstalled and installed a fresh copy, deleting the civ5 file under documents/my games aswell.
nothing works :/

atm i use v.1.0.1.167
noteworthy aswell is when i start a new game i get an error i can click past: "unable to load texture [assets/ui/art/icons/socialpoliciesbranchblackmask.dds]

that's always there, tried reinstalling the mod aswell a couple of times, from different sources

You need to update your game for the latest patch through Steam to solve these issues.

ah ok, don't like steam but i had no choice i guess then =)

I'm not sure if you will be able to redo the tech tree and Social Policies selection screen, but it sure would be nice. I have a lap top that won't allow me to set the screen as big as needed, and currently I'm having stick with selecting what I can see! :)

I do plan on altering the size of both the tech tree and the social policies screen to comply with lower resolutions, but this process won't begin until I'm more or less finished adding content to the mod - and that's still a ways off. I'm also always amazed that people have laptops that are capable of running Civ better than my actual desktop. :crazyeye:
