This is one I've been asking for for a while. It'd be great not only for a WW2 mod/scenario, or a cold war one, depending on if it's a jet or prop. but also just for the regular game I think. Something along the lines of a B29/Tu4 or B52(or)russian equivalent(don't know it).

Now I know, there's a makeshift B29 out there, it's really cruddy, and I'm allowed to say that because I made it, and I just made it as a placeholder hoping someone else would make a good one. Also there's a B52 out there taken from CTP, but it doesn't really fit in with the original units, or smoking mirror's tri-motor bomber which I use as a light bomber.

Hunter just made a Lancaster, which is great, and what made me think to request this one again. The Lancaster however, is no B29, its more in league with the original bomber which is modeled after the B17.

To give sceptics an idea of why this is a useful unit, here are some helpful stats:

B17:
Max Speed: 318 mph
Max altitude: 37,000 ft.
Defensive armament: 6 .50 caliber and one .30 caliber machine guns.
Bomb load: 4800 lbs
Can't find maximum range, but this is without a doubt the weakest of the main allied bombers of the war, though it achieved the most fame, because they were based out of england.

Avro Lancaster:
Max Speed: 287 mph
Max Altitude: 24,500 ft
Defensive armament: 10 .303 caliber machine guns
Bomb load: 14,000lbs conventional, or one 22,000lb dam buster bomb
Maximum range: 3500 miles

B24:
Max Speed: 303 mph
Max Altitude: 32,000 ft
Defensive Armament: 11 .50 caliber machine guns
Bomb Load: 12,800 lbs
Maxiumum Range: 3500 miles

and the Heavyweight Champion B29:
Max Speed: 375 mph
Max Altitude: 40,000 ft (pressurized cabin)
Defensive Armament: 10 .50 caliber and 1 .30 caliber remote controlled machine guns
Bomb Load: 20,000 lbs conventional bombs, or an atomic bomb, no other plane in the world was capable of delivering such a device.
Maximum Range: 4100 miles

Are you still working on this opossum? Sorry to come across as so pushy, but I've wanted this unit since I tried to make my own cut and paste version, about a year ago.

I'm going to be making a few bombers for a 1930s-1950s mod I'm going to be working on, but It won't be for a little while yet (still got to make some of the the tanks and infantry).

The b29 is one that I will probably make, also a Luft '46 german version.
