Well, so I have to post again: If you are a German speaking Civfanatic, please visit our Civforum too: www.civforum.de/ There are no longer any news in english, so I have to update this.

Guten Tag! :) Ich sprich etwas Deutches. Maybe nicht genug..

(I didn't know German for Maybe, So I'm probably not qualified yet.)

I'll check it. If I understand enough, I might join. It might be good for my German to interact using the language ;)

(I didn't know German for Maybe, So I'm probably not qualified yet.)May be = "kann sein". :)

Well, I'm postig here at CFC but my English is not very good. However, we have very few Members wich are writing English only, so you may write in English too, but you have to understand German. Without that, it really makes no sense reading within our forums, I'm afraid... ;)

Like you wrote, this would be a reason for joining us:It might be good for my German to interact using the language ;)

I thought:

Kann= can

sein= his

Can His? Is this a mistake? Your English is still better than my German. Good thing I know a good online German dictionary with sound files, and my keybord can write in German. I also know some grammer rules, like when to use Der, Die, and Das, which is complecated...:crazyeyes: I know the difference between sie, and du, and I have a fairly good vocabulary... Well, there's my resume. Would you still recommend me joining? Ich bin ein Amerikaner, btw, and very pro-Bush, so many people probably don't like Americans like me. But, what the heck, I already get yelled at alot on this site :) I liked the smilies on the site. Looks like you have all the ones on this site, and more...

Yeah, I'll join, but first, should I keep my Englisch name, Fox Mccloud, or should I use "Fuchs Mccloud"? I guess people would understand if I use the English for Fox...

"sein" can mean "his" or "be", so Fox was on the right scent ;)

Not really all languages are easy if you read a little, plus they are intresting.

By the way, while "kann sein" is a literal translation of "may be" you would rather use "vielleicht" for "maybe" in the context of the sentence you posted (i.e. "Vielleicht nicht genug.").

Just give it a try though, although it's filled with weirdos like kronic. ;)

We are screwed because I'm there? You don't say "We are screwed" in Germany, do you? I thought so after someone didn't know what I was talking about. :crazyeye: :blush:

Well, maybe that's just because "geschraubt" is not the proper translation for screwed, at least not in that context. :D
