Since the expansion includes religion and espionage, I call foul on the name!

or perhaps Gods and Spooks? :)

Manna and Martini's? :mischief:

The Kings part is likely because they're adding 9 new civs.

I think it should be Gods and Queens. They sure added a lot of female leaders. It doubles the amount in Vanilla.

No, it's because it sounds cool.

Sure, they added 3 "Queens" that we know of, but the other 6 are likely all "Kings". So with 2/3 of the leaders being Kings, calling it Gods & Queens wouldn't make any sense.

If they released another DLC with new civs, they could call it Kings & Queens if they could find enough Queens.

Or they could just dress all the new kings in drag.

Not everything in Beyond the Sword was for things that took after swords weren't used. It's a name.

Not enough ''romanesque''.

I did put the question, though worded differntly, as my submission to the 'Ask Dennis Shirk' contest.

Maybe we'll get an answer to it if it is selected, :)

My gut is telling me that kings is not just a marketing slogan. Gods and Spies doesn't sound half bad.
