Here is some summary information, copied from the "New Projects" thread.

In 2030AD, World War III begins when a crazy mad dictator takes control of Japan and attacks China. This action sets off a chain of alliances, and since most of the world powers have nukes, most of the world is destroyed. In 2034AD, the United States finally defeats Japan, and the dictator is killed. However, the dictator's son manages to flee to Antarctica with a good sized amount of the dictator's army. By 2037AD, his forces have been built up there to impressive strength, and using the mountainous terrain to his advantage, the dictator's son declares to the world that he intends to conquer it by force, succeeding where his father failed. The world powers, wary from World War III, begin to squabble among themselves and soon the entire world is on the brink of war, every man for himself.

That's the jist of it...I've had this concept in mind for a game and/or book for quite a few years...just never had the opportunity to make use of it till now.

Nations in this scenario:

North America:

United States

South America:

Brazil
Argentina

Europe:

Luxembourg (human player)
United Kingdom
France
Germany

Far East:

Japan
China

Oceania:

Australia

Africa:

Egypt
Nigeria

Middle East/South Asia:

Iran
India

Antarctica:

Antarctica

Everything else:

Neutral Powers

Russia is not represented as a major power because one, it'd be too big, and two, it was completely wiped out by Japan during World War III.

The map will be a world map, modified some to include antarctica in more fuller form. (will use Kal-el's earth map, 180x180)

There will be a MASSIVE amount of unique units, not only for each major power, but also for alot of the lesser powers as well (IE, Algeria, Morocco, Mexico, and Italy all will have unique units, within the lesser powers).

The Lesser Powers will be unable to produce new units, but will have varying strengths of units which will be immobile.

Most cities will be placed according to their modern-day placement, as well as a few new cities to increase the fictional realism of the time period (2037 AD).

There will be A LOT of techs to develop, including futuristic ones. (techs will start though about the time of WWI/WWII, as alot of the newer tech was destroyed by WWIII)

Units will be made in Division/Corps/Army format, but will have different versions of each, with extra HP for the larger sizes, instead of the Civ3 "army" format (which I used in the ACW scenario). Naval and Air units will be in similar format.

All I have done is given separate threads for each scenario I will be working on, to provide more in-depth discussion and information.

The WWI, Mediterranean Circa 270 BC, and the World Conquest ones were previously lumped under "New Projects" when they were still in the early planning stages.

Yeah, maybe you should change your sig. to 'Prolifica'.

Nobody has even commented on the scenario itself yet! But I must say, you do have many many scenarios. I have to say that the scenario is a pretty good idea. I myself have had an idea for something much like this, so I might have suggestions or ideas if you need them.

BTW, what/where exactly is Luxembourg? Is that Swiss or something?

Bob, I've had that problem with almost all of the threads I post for some reason....I've had my ACW thread up for at least a month and have had the same 3 or 4 people posting in it. Beta Versions of it have been up a couple weeks now, and same problem.

Luxembourg is a small country (about the size of Rhode Island, USA, 999 Square Miles if you want to be exact), situated on the southeast border of Belgium, between France and Germany. Its capital is Luxembourg. The country's population is about 350,000. It is the largest steel producer, per capita, in Europe and one of the largest in the world. Luxembourg is a member of NATO and the EC. Luxembourg was invaded by Germany in both World Wars, and not having anything of any size for an army, was quickly overrun both times. Luxembourg was a key area in the Germans offense against France in May, 1940, as the Ardennes forest runs through most of the country. Most of the people in Luxembourg are of German descent and culture, though at one time, they were under the rule of the monarch of the Netherlands (till 1866). Luxembourg is a constitutional monarchy, under a Duke/Duchess, much like the United Kingdom (though UK has a Queen/King).

No, I have not gone to a website or anything to look any of this info up, so there may be a few inaccuracies...:)

Any suggestions or ideas are more than welcome, the reason why I've posted several scenarios on the forums, is to get more feedback from people, who are interested in play-testing or playing them, or just want to contribute information or ideas.

Liechenstein is probably what you were thinking of, as far as being Swiss (61 Square Miles, about the size of Washington DC, capital Vaduz, population about 60,000, sits between Switzerland and Austria, in a customs union with Switzerland, who also handles its foreign affairs).

Well, I guess that is true for 95% of the scenarios
here at Civ Fanatics.

Very true, unit creators get so much more fanfare.

Anyways, this scenario I'm hoping will be the best of my scenarios, as it is completely original and will be on a large scale. Since I'll only be using a 180 X 180 map, it shouldn't be too hard to load and run.

My previous statements still seem to hold true...

So I've decided to begin work on this scenario, in the hopes that interest in my work can be revived. :)

First, going to modify Kal-el's map a bit, as he doesn't have Antarctica on it. :(

Alright, maybe I can't use Kal-el's map, as every time I try to edit rules, the editor crashes with a divide error??
