Well, try 'cutting apart' the factions: The year is MY 2380. The Morganites control Planet, but with no competition, they start looking at each other with vengeful glares. They split into four factions: Loyalists, under Nwabudike, who want to unite the others so that they can further their journey to other stars and begin ripping them off....the Bankers, who wish to save collosal amounts of energy...the Investors who want to aggressively increase cashflow....okay, those are some pretty crappy examples. But I like the idea of Factions within a Faction.
