I want my old OT back. I loved the mix of serious and non-serious, something that unified every poster and made everyone give their say. I would have a longer OP, but I think that itself speaks for FC and FT alike.

New option: Keep new 'FT' rules. Absorb 'FC' into 'FT.' This can be done officially or de facto.

It'd be fine if they didn't completely screw it up by disabling pc in this subforum.

FT will become a de facto Off-Topic, except minus the post-count. FC is already seeing less use and I've seen a lot of discussions in FT that, really, could easily be occurring in FC.

I am not necessarily opposed to an OT split, but this was stupid.

I'd recreate Off-Topic on Taberna rules, accompanied by a much wider application, forced if necessary, of the Red Diamond for Civilium materials.

Best of both worlds. :)

So long as the looser standards of moderation seen in this Taberna Commune apply after a re-merge (outside of Red Diamond, of course), I would like it.

We have been given a taste of how fun it is to worry less about jokes being misread, and being more free to call spades spades.

This. I really do think that Red Diamond threads could have covered the whole thing, and the rest of the rules would be relaxed.
