As I've said elsewhere, I'm taking it in stride.

I'll make constructive points here, when I feel the need and the whim, and otherwise take full advantage of the lax moderation to give myself a few giggles.

I used to like it until the mods worked their magic to destroy a good idea.

I suggest we pretend the split never happened and make TB the new OT. Come to think, the same should be done with some other sub forums which have been split off for no good reason in the past...

Exactly what i'm doing ! So it's just like the old OT but without the heavy-handed moderation WOO

Can anyone ignore the former site of one big building that's now replaced with two smaller buildings? http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/shrug2.gif

What the Moderators are Thinking about Us

The posters are so whiny and ungrateful!
They constantly complain, cry and abuse.
Whatever moderators do to help them -
They start complaining that it's no use!

They always contradict their own whinings -
"The split is evil; no, it is good".
They say one thing, but then they say another -
It all depends on their capricious mood.

If you want someone to be punished
By torture no one had ever seen,
There's no need for stuff like Iron Maidens -
Just have him moderating CFC.

There hasn't been a split this severe since the Protestant revolution.

I throughly disapprove of what this has done.

I imagine most of the dislike is because it's new and unfamiliar.

It's like the opposite of 9/11, except it's still a bad thing.

I voted yes and no.

Not the first to have done that. I noticed 3 yes/nos in the 1st 9 votes. (Apparently the option īDonīt careī is missing.) :mischief:

Another oddity: thereīs 3 modsī votes in the Yes category. Only 3?

I dislike it because it's pointless and doesn't solve anything.

I dislike it less than I did when it rolled out. I'm not sure I like it yet, but I'm open to the possibility. I don't think it will hurt.

I object to the split. It was messier but more entertaining previously.:(

I'm getting use to it. But for it to work people need to stop fighting about it and go back to posting like normal.

Isn't there already a thread about this? My opinion remains the same. No, I don't like it.

I like less heavy handed moderation and the freedom to be sillier, but not the splitting of OT to achieve it. I would have preferred promoting the 'red diamond thread' initiative harder accompanied by relaxing the rules of OT in general.

The rolling out of this new forum structure went about as well as new coke.

I have to say that I love the split. A less moderated forum for those who prefer it that way, and a more serious discussion forum (they actually critique studies instead of making unsupported assumptions or talking points!).

I like it because I rarely have the motivation to post in the super serious, heavy topics because everytime I do I'm either ignored or drawn into some huge debate that ends up over my head. This way, I can enjoy the lighter stuff without being tempted to lurk on other discussions I have no intention of posting on.

When I fist came back I didn't knew what the hell happened, the OT looked liked somebodies boxed up apartment getting ready to move.

I like it less now. I find myself less frequently clicking my bookmark to get here than I did with OT.

The cut and run to the Chamber when a Tavern thread gets tough is a beautiful thing to behold.
