View Full Version : Strauss Kahn's (former head of the IMF) interview to The Guardian...

In a nutshell Strauss Kahn openly accuses Sarkozy of "orchestrating" his downfall. Interestingly he also claims now that he was about to suggest a comprehensive new plan for Greece, which in theory would have "solved all problems", and that this was what caused some centers to move against him.
Even if this is just a bubble, designed to further destroy Sarkozy's already infinitesimal chances of keeping his seat, it is interesting that it surfaces now.

Seems to me that DSK just has sour grapes. This guy has been caught with his pants down, literally, over many years, and yet claims to be set-up by others. He may very well be an excellent president and financial wizard, but his personality is so difficult that he pisses everyone off in the room who should be his ally.

So why couldn't it be a set up.
Many French politicians have mistresses and often have their pants down. But the French press rarely report anything because they do not see it as relevant.
How big would this wiki article be if it was a US president?

What prevents him from sharing his ingenious plans now? I assume the time has passed? How convenient for him.

ALL of them? He's accused of rape or attempted rape almost every 2 years! No, that is too much of a coincidence.

If only a mistress is all he had. It's rape that he's often accused of.

The French press has to adhere to strict laws on investigating the private lives of French public figures. But DSK was arrested in America, where the media prides itself on its freedom to delve into the private lives of important public figures. I bet if Mitterand was the prominent head of a vastly important Washington-based organisation, he would have had similar intrusions into his private life.
rugbyLEAGUEfan May 02, 2012, 03:47 AM Well if I had a name like Dominique Strauss-Kahn I'd probably feel a sense of entitlement too .

You are correct.
People tend to act as if the laws and "rules" that apply in their home country apply anywhere. DSK obviously believes this.
If I was a French voter I would hold this against him if I was voting for him as President ,as obviously a president should know about the ways of other countries.

I liked it when it was misspelled.
