Ozbenno Jun 07, 2012, 06:09 PM As suggested by lymond.
I changed map type from Global Highlands to Terra as I think the use of the other landmass can add a different element to this challenge (use for extra cities, use for creating vassal or just leave alone for the other AI while you concentrate on culture). I used Global Highlands for another challenge though if you need it for your Qm/EQm slots!
lymond Jun 07, 2012, 10:59 PM hmm....I think Terra does offer an interesting map for this with the assumption that Corps will be needed. Global Highlands I think function more like a Continents map, whereas Terra may allow one to grab more Corp resources in the New World. Should be fun.
I'm really hoping that Ren start is late enough to require more alternative Culture methods like Corps. I'm not sure there is a precedent for it - will check the HOF tables. I have no idea what a reasonable date is but it will all flesh itself out as games are submitted.
WastinTime Jun 08, 2012, 12:14 AM I'm sure it won't go to corps, however I like the setup. Love Justinian on Ren. and on Terra.
lymond Jun 08, 2012, 12:28 AM Dang...maybe I shoulda requested Industrial instead, but Ren is indeed a fun start, or make it Cultural with high score as opposed to date. I thought maybe Sistine was obsoleted in Ren starts. I haven' played a Ren start in a very long time.

Well, if someone of your expertise in culture won't dabble at this challenger, then I just proved my strategy with corps has beaten bcool's game at the first shot. I admit the second manually generated map was a cute map, but the catapract rush was a little delayed compared to a game with both horses and iron near.
lymond Aug 04, 2012, 10:28 PM ^^^Good to see Corps worked well for you, Tachy. I'm hoping to have the same luck when I get back into HOF mode, and I also have a very strong goal to take you down in Challenge VIII ;)

Excellent. Finally some rough confrontations. I like it. I can't have 110 points, isn't it?
UnforcedError Sep 25, 2012, 06:06 AM Waiting for my game to get accepted. This was real fun, even though it was culture :) Nice setting! (Lymond, why don't you play it?)
