For those of you currently playing TSG 36 & 37, a new patch will be released on 14 June, just announced at 2K's site. (http://forums.2kgames.com/showthread.php?123430-Patch-coming-Thursday-6-14-important-info-about-saved-games!)

If you wish to complete your games, then please go into offline mode as there are no patch notes yet and I have no idea what the patch will do to the game. :shake:

As for TSG38, I have it all ready but may have to redevelop it for use with the new patch. Please expect a delay of 2 to 4 days as it looks now.

You always could. You used to have to edit the .ini file.

true, but now a quick button press lets you sit there and watch a longer (for me anyways) loading screen as the intro video no longer covers over the loading of the game.

More importantly:

Quick combat and Quick Movement options are now part of the Options menu and can be changed during gameplay.

I am, of course, hoping that I will finally get to hear music and speech while the game is running.

If anyone is having problems with the new patch, below are the things to try in order to get it working.

Issues:

Saved games swap leaders
- true and unfixable though it seems limited to DLC civ games.

Can't use the 'Get Mods' button in the mod section
- Turn on your Steam Overlay. The game uses it to get to the Workshop.

Happiness has dropped after loading a saved game
- The Courthouse bug has been fixed, so there is no more exploit to be had.

Can't play the game now (units don't move, game crashes, etc)
- First verify your cache (once in a while, a file is missed in the download process).

- Second, try a game without using mods. Modders might not have updated their mods in time. If the game works now, then wait for the mod to be updated before using it.

- If you have an 'older' computer, or have a single core CPU, then do the following:

1. Open up your config.ini (My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/)
2. Look for the following line: EnableGameCoreThreading = 1
3. Change it to: EnableGameCoreThreading = 0

This will turn off support for a major improvement of multi-core systems.

The above are the 'major' groupings of reported issues and their solutions.
