Note :
Please put the folder "Edited_Animations" to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\Units\
and replace the files.
Use it if you want to see the unit work correctly. (e.g. Chariot, WWII units, etc...)

AFAIK, yes. There isn't (at least yet) a UnitArtStyle sort of thing for Civ5.

Newer builds of R.E.D. use an artstyle-like method instead of UU's. See this post (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=11648508&postcount=38).

The "WW2 Unit packs" and the "Chariot" need this package, swordsmen, spearmen, etc...not require it, thanks :)

when you find the time could you make us an Air Force Swordfish to put on the Ark Royal :-)
And perhaps make some more Artillery : a medieval bombard and a WW1 75 mm gun would be nice :)

jjdragon Aug 22, 2012, 08:41 AM I think the default ancient units are already based on generic european styles, and many industrial/modern units have beed created for european civs. Native american (Maya, Aztec, Inca) units would be needed more in my opinion. I'm not pressuring anyone though. More accurate units in any way is always better.

Awesome units. The variation is so cool! The unit packs you've made so far, I'm very interested in adding one or two units from different packs into the G&K game. Do I need to download the whole unit pack for one unit, or can I just download the specific unit I want to add? A noob on here...thanks for the help.

Bergerperson Nov 23, 2012, 12:12 PM I see you have a Modern Era list that doesn't have any units on there. Are you planning to do modern packs for different countries? If so, how are you going to differentiate the Destroyer from the Missile Cruiser in game? It seems like in this age, guided missile destroyers and guided missile cruisers have nearly the same design structure.

Look up "R.E.D Modpack" by Gedemon. He's got all of these and some others from this sub forum included.

They're not strictly necessary [EDIT: except for chariots IIRC], but if you want e.g., arrows or propellers to display, then you should have them. The best method would be to include them in your mod (VFS=true), however you can leave them in the directory as directed; they don't replace existing files.

Ahhhh, if I can do it that way it'll probably work easiest; the instructions with the download said "Please put the folder "Edited_Animations" to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization v\Assets\Units\ and replace the files.", but when I browsed the folder it had a bunch of .xml defines instead of the animation files the download had, so I wasn't sure what to do with them.
Nutty Jan 04, 2013, 12:06 PM The only one that might be located there is civ5artdefines_viseffects.xml; that one you would have needed to overwrite.

On a related note my planes are on the ground. raising them in blender doesnt help. any idea to get them to sit higher on the map? is there an offset in an xml or animation fix?

Ekmek Apr 11, 2013, 11:05 AM When it flies its fine but while it waits its in the buildings. i also tested another unit thqt is an air unit but want it to be a late game scout and it would run on the ground. i think i can creat a vertex that elebates it to hive height but was hoping there is a more elegant way.

are you going to do the xml? I think he has all the templates. Its easy for me to do if you just want the models.

In the Udaloy unit, I see a .dds and a .fbx file, do I replace the missile cruiser's granny line with the .fbx? I also don't see a .fxsxml file in the units, that suppose to be like that?
