Can I somehow take a section of a previous map and move it into a different one. I have a map I like but, I only want to use part of it and expand onto it from a different way, but i don't know how to just keep that part.

Use the import feature in the editor. You should be able to select which parts of the map you want to import and which you don't.

If you want to move part of the actual map (like you have a map of Europe and you only want say France), then I'm not sure how you could do that.
