With the city defence bounis it allowed my many units of Persepolis to be come ellite.

Once I was playing a one on one game, we each had our own continent, I was not concentrating that much on the military, it was my first game, I was working on culture, I saw his galley, I jumped with joy!!! I thought I could trade, but then he told my diplomats not to return for 20 turns then 7 more galleys came, they kept coming and coming until BOOM he took my cities one by one, until, it was a long experience, 3 hours into the war I developed a great plan every time he took a city, he would leave it unguarded `I would send a horse men to take it back, this way it would slow he march to my capital, IT WORKED! He was forced to turn back, this was raging and a very brutal war, I finally got so more techs so I built galleys a few many settlers, I move a few cities to his continent in the northern mountains area he had yet to explore, he then took ALL my troops into Persepolis with a few horsemen taking those unprotected cities, it was a mayor siege, I had at least 200 plus troops and growing in my capital and him with he 90-120 elite troops destroying my improvements, soon once he retook the cities he got smart, he razed them instead of keeping them, it went on the battle for Persepolis for at least 70 turns but then the reinforce reinforcements stop coming and me with only 4 cities left, Persepolis (the only good one) and one on the coast and two in the mountains ness region he offered a deal, all most cites (save Persepolis) for peace, I know he could not be trusted so I declined and I don’t know what happened next, maybe he quit? But he lost, and it said I had won a great conquest victory!
With the city defense bounds it allowed my many units of Persepolis to be come elite.
Godzilla Mar 19, 2003, 01:07 AM you must have been playing against someone that did not know how to play why would you leave a conquered city unguarded when you aren't even in your own lands
mazzz Mar 19, 2003, 07:34 AM no those citites were in the the nothern part of his continent, in the mounitness region! he had not even borthered to explore! I need al my units in my old good city (capital) and i was in the late middle ages, it would take for ever to develp it. I NEEDED those units in my capital.
