There are the new titles based on new rules. Before posting them officialally, I though I had best leave them here for public scrutiny. Please post comments, questions, etc.

Titles in italics are unlanded titles.
The title 'of Fanatika' is reserved for elected officials.
The titles of Minister (All leaders, VP), Viceroy (All leaders, VP alt.), Governor (Governor), Sheriff/Reeve (military), Ambassador (FA staff), and Baronet (deputies) were not noted, due to the options available, and the sheer number of officials. Please note which title is desired.

Technically, no. Now, if he invests about 3,000g, and owns land in the same province as Gewehr, he is.

As far as I know, Plexus and my humble person are part of the House of Lancre.

Octavian X

Like I said, you need to invest yourself as a prince and have an OK from the head of the bloodline to become a member. You may be a part of a more informal unity with Lancre, but you are not a member of it's bloodline.

OK, new list up. This one should be correct, landed and unlanded titles and all.

This looks great, Octavian. You are correct that Naervod's archduke title it is lost since we are not a despotism. It would have fallen to a High Noble title.

Please make my Count of Schlachtfeld title unlanded. All of my land is one big contiguous mass so that whole thing will be Sud-Besitz.

Wrong... Gewehr is Utopia (my house) and Gunning's house.

EA: Call yourself whatever you like, but under our rules, your Baron of Cuernavaca...

Shaitan: done.

Strider: That's the info I have. Only current prices have bloodlines...

Now, do I get a reward for this?:)

Thank you, Octavian X. Mine looks great.

Actually, I am the Archduke of Vanir and therefore Royalty, not just Duke.

Octavian X
Mar 24, 2003, 01:13 AM
naervod, Archduke, under new rules, is a title only available in a despotism. If we happen to revert to a despotism, the title will be restored to you. If I understand Shaitan correctly, you can change the title of Duke to other High Noble titles, High Lord or Lord.

Don't complain, we'll all lose these titles at some point. If we become a republic or democracy, all current prices and kings will have those titles downgraded. If we ever enter a communistic government, all noble titles will be erased...

That would be cool. I guess our bank accounts would be repossessed as well then...

Oct, I don't get it. Can I become an unlanded prince?

Shabbaman: Prince isn't a title that is attached to land, per say. The title of Prince designates a member of a royal bloodline.

Let's say want to become a Prince of Doughnutia. You invest the gold required (3000g). Then, if you have the approval of the head of that bloodline (me, in this instance), you become a prince and heir to Doughnutia.

That's the only thing the title of Prince bestows. Unless your the Vice President, you earn no addtional income for that title.

EA: Glad you like it... LONG LIVE ATZINIA!

*ahem*

Okay. I'll ask Padma.

I have two questions: (actually three)

1. How do you become a squire?
2. Can you start a new house? What are the rules for that?

1. One of the house's takes you in as a squire.

2. You buy a large number of lands tile next to eachother.

My house of Utopia will be willing to take you under as a squire. I will pay all the fee's also.

I hate reigning in on parades...

1. Go to this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37508). Ask to become a squire. For a certain amount of money, you'll become one.

2. You need to become a king to start a Royal House, or you need to have been a prince before the new ruleset was instituted. Basically, you need to be elected the Demogame President at this point due to new rules.

If CG's VP position gets him a title, I will gladly accept him into House Vanir.

Octavian X
Apr 06, 2003, 06:29 PM
CG is just Prince of Fanatika. He'd need to pay up (3000g) to become a Vanirian Prince.

And that is where the problem lies, I dont have 3000g :(.

And there is no way that his title can simply be converted to "of Vanir"? Hmmf.... highway robbery it is. I should go have a talk with whoever wrote these rules with one of my Panzers....

No matter. I will invest the 3000g for my good friend to become a member of House Vanir. He shall be forever known as CivGeneral, Prince of Kampfenvanir.

GM - Would this make me a Bloodline of Vanir :). And thanks for sponsering me :).

CG: Yes, much the way that Shaitan had nobles of Sud-Besitz, Klein Vanir, etc. It wouldn't do to have 2 "Princes of Vanir", now, would it?

Octavian X
Apr 06, 2003, 07:05 PM
For future reference, I don't run the nobility rules, Padma still does here. (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37508) I'm just answering questions, it seems.

@GM: His vice presidency gives him a temporary title that he'll lose anyway. Please his Vanirian Princedom to the official thread noted above.

@CG: It's a matter of preference. Your title could certainly be 'Prince of Vanir' if GM allows it.

@Stuck: You are the Prince of Cupertania, and thus the head of your own house. You can accept new Princes into Cupertania in the same fashion GM is accepting CG.

So now I just register in the noble thread??
