i can't get it to boot.

i think it's my graphics card, ati 8500dv. it worked once, just the once, but since i have reinstalled windows, and just the drivers (and a few different ones) but it still won't work.

it loads and shows the total war logo, then it disappears and leaves me with a black screen.

it seems a common problem (at least in some form with ati cards) but there doesn't seem to be a common solution to go with it.

anybody know anything?
