This is an excerpt from an upcoming story of mines based on my latest game.

-All rules on
Amazingly, by the time I've gotten to future tech's I've only been in one war, which has proven fatal for the warmongering Aztecs in the south. After that, I colonized Central America and then spread slowly out to South America. By the time I was around Future Tech 20 I had modernized all of the American lands (N America, C.America,S.America) except for Canada which was in control of the Iroquois which really haven't done anything to me and they don't have anything worth taking up there that I don't have/need.
Right when I started building military bases in the Caribbean, I noticed something that I should have noticed earlier on and smacked myself on the head. THIS IS ON DEITY LEVEL! The AI won't just sit back and let you own everything without putting up a fight. Those damn Iroquois signed an alliance with almost every civ on the planet (surprisingly, only the Aztecs and the Indians have been wiped out so far) against me to take over my lands.
Since I smartly prepared for such an occasion with a mass production of Modern Armors, Mech Infantries, Marines, Radar Artileries, Battleships, Stealth Bombers, Carriers, and Cruise Missiles, all during peace-time. I quickly destroyed the idiots up north and brought some pride to that land. I then knew that all of the other nations of the earth would pose a huge threat while combined to my empire, so I decided to make my lands a fortress.
Something I should have mentioned earlier is the industrial strength of my cities. Since almost all of my mainland cities could produce a worker in 1 turn, I decided to do just that. Although it would have stinged the beauty of the American coasts, I ordered for fortresses to be built on every square of the American coast. I then stationed ATLEAST 2 Mech Infantries and ATLEAST 1 Radar Artillery on every fortress. Now there were some problems with coastal cities like New York and Miami, but I had a HUGE stack of Battleships stationed in New York, so I just moved them a few squares out to protect the waters around it.
This inspired me to begin the first operation of the war. Since I had a HUGE economy and a HUGE number of naval units (strong ones, at that), I decided to control the waters around my empire, later on hoping to control worldwide waters. Since that was the only way for my enemies to get to me, it would only make sense to contol the waters. I then established the Coast Guard and started running AEGIS Cruisers and Destroyers up and down the coasts warning of a possible invasion.
Around the time I had Mechs and R.Artillies in all of my fortresses, I started sending Battleships out across the Pacific ocean to defend my Hawaiin Islands and escort the Modern Armors and Marines in the Transports on their way to Australia to defend the colonies there. The Japanese have repeatedly tried to take the island-continent since the war started to complete their island chain (they've already taken over all of Oceana except for Australia and Malaysia, which the Chinese held). Although I've been able to hold them off, my troops were growing low in numbers and Australia needed reinforcements badly.
Earlier on I said I was building military bases in the Caribbean. Right when I started flying reconnaisance missions around the Atlantic I noticed a bunch of Submarines heading for Puerto Rico from Africa. The decision to make bases in the islands prooved to be smart, as my Battleships stationed there combined with Destroyer bombardment and aerial support from Stealth Bombers destroyed the fleet. It would seem like I defended the wrong areas tho. A big group of Modern Armors and Panzers (I guess where those came from...) landed in the newly conquered-weakly defended Hudson Bay in Canada and a similar group landed around Buenos Aires. Thankfully I've built railroads all over and I rushed troops down from N.A. to take on the invaders.
Around this time the Pacific front has started. Is there a magnetism between Japan and small tropical American controled island chains? They could have attacked Australia or New Zealand, but they went and attacked the Hawaiin Islands. Around 6 Carriers full of bombers and fighters (both stealth) approached the islands and bombed the heck out of it. I tried to send support over there fast, both from the West coast and from Australia, but I was too late. Hawaii was now in Jap control. I was so angry, I threw an I.C.B.M. there way just for payback. Tokyo and Kyoto, their biggest cities, were the ones attacked. I had a policy on using nukes before, but I made an exception on this one.
Anyway, I later sent about 15 transports full of modern armors, mechs, radar artilleries, and marines to Europe to commence a D-Day type invasion. Around the time my troops were about to land in Gibralter and Ireland, England and France pulled out of the war. I was able to get an estimated 20 g.p.t. from both of them anyway, so it almost made up. I then just simly continued the Gibralter troops into the Mediterranean to invade Naples (south Italy) and pour onto North Africa to get rid of the Egyptians to control the Suez Waterway, a key location if I wanted to invade Persia, which was the 3rd greatest civ behind me (1st) and Japan (2nd). They had previously destroyed the Indians and established an empire from the Ukraine to Mongolia to Vietnam (In other words, they kicked major butt).
I'll update some more after I finish. Hope ya like it ;)
