This is an excerpt from an upcoming story of mines based on my latest game.

-America
-Deity
-All Civs (this is NOT PTW, just normal Civ3)
-Marla Singer's World Map
-All rules on

Amazingly, by the time I've gotten to future tech's I've only been in one war, which has proven fatal for the warmongering Aztecs in the south. After that, I colonized Central America and then spread slowly out to South America. By the time I was around Future Tech 20 I had modernized all of the American lands (N America, C.America,S.America) except for Canada which was in control of the Iroquois which really haven't done anything to me and they don't have anything worth taking up there that I don't have/need.

Right when I started building military bases in the Caribbean, I noticed something that I should have noticed earlier on and smacked myself on the head. THIS IS ON DEITY LEVEL! The AI won't just sit back and let you own everything without putting up a fight. Those damn Iroquois signed an alliance with almost every civ on the planet (surprisingly, only the Aztecs and the Indians have been wiped out so far) against me to take over my lands.

Since I smartly prepared for such an occasion with a mass production of Modern Armors, Mech Infantries, Marines, Radar Artileries, Battleships, Stealth Bombers, Carriers, and Cruise Missiles, all during peace-time. I quickly destroyed the idiots up north and brought some pride to that land. I then knew that all of the other nations of the earth would pose a huge threat while combined to my empire, so I decided to make my lands a fortress.

Something I should have mentioned earlier is the industrial strength of my cities. Since almost all of my mainland cities could produce a worker in 1 turn, I decided to do just that. Although it would have stinged the beauty of the American coasts, I ordered for fortresses to be built on every square of the American coast. I then stationed ATLEAST 2 Mech Infantries and ATLEAST 1 Radar Artillery on every fortress. Now there were some problems with coastal cities like New York and Miami, but I had a HUGE stack of Battleships stationed in New York, so I just moved them a few squares out to protect the waters around it.

This inspired me to begin the first operation of the war. Since I had a HUGE economy and a HUGE number of naval units (strong ones, at that), I decided to control the waters around my empire, later on hoping to control worldwide waters. Since that was the only way for my enemies to get to me, it would only make sense to contol the waters. I then established the Coast Guard and started running AEGIS Cruisers and Destroyers up and down the coasts warning of a possible invasion.

Around the time I had Mechs and R.Artillies in all of my fortresses, I started sending Battleships out across the Pacific ocean to defend my Hawaiin Islands and escort the Modern Armors and Marines in the Transports on their way to Australia to defend the colonies there. The Japanese have repeatedly tried to take the island-continent since the war started to complete their island chain (they've already taken over all of Oceana except for Australia and Malaysia, which the Chinese held). Although I've been able to hold them off, my troops were growing low in numbers and Australia needed reinforcements badly.

Earlier on I said I was building military bases in the Caribbean. Right when I started flying reconnaisance missions around the Atlantic I noticed a bunch of Submarines heading for Puerto Rico from Africa. The decision to make bases in the islands prooved to be smart, as my Battleships stationed there combined with Destroyer bombardment and aerial support from Stealth Bombers destroyed the fleet. It would seem like I defended the wrong areas tho. A big group of Modern Armors and Panzers (I guess where those came from...) landed in the newly conquered-weakly defended Hudson Bay in Canada and a similar group landed around Buenos Aires. Thankfully I've built railroads all over and I rushed troops down from N.A. to take on the invaders.

Around this time the Pacific front has started. Is there a magnetism between Japan and small tropical American controled island chains? They could have attacked Australia or New Zealand, but they went and attacked the Hawaiin Islands. Around 6 Carriers full of bombers and fighters (both stealth) approached the islands and bombed the heck out of it. I tried to send support over there fast, both from the West coast and from Australia, but I was too late. Hawaii was now in Jap control. I was so angry, I threw an I.C.B.M. there way just for payback. Tokyo and Kyoto, their biggest cities, were the ones attacked. I had a policy on using nukes before, but I made an exception on this one.

Anyway, I later sent about 15 transports full of modern armors, mechs, radar artilleries, and marines to Europe to commence a D-Day type invasion. Around the time my troops were about to land in Gibralter and Ireland, England and France pulled out of the war. I was able to get an estimated 20 g.p.t. from both of them anyway, so it almost made up. I then just simly continued the Gibralter troops into the Mediterranean to invade Naples (south Italy) and pour onto North Africa to get rid of the Egyptians to control the Suez Waterway, a key location if I wanted to invade Persia, which was the 3rd greatest civ behind me (1st) and Japan (2nd). They had previously destroyed the Indians and established an empire from the Ukraine to Mongolia to Vietnam (In other words, they kicked major butt).

I'll update some more after I finish. Hope ya like it ;)

As I earlier said, I lost Hawaii to the mighty Japs. I immediately decided to switch my pacific base of military operations to Hawaii so its a no brainer that I decided to take it back. After I nuked them two times, I struck an alliance with the British against the Russians and Germans. Its kinda amazing the ai is so cooperative, especially since this is on deity. Anyway, the English did good on their word and started invading Germany.

Around 2700 (I never stop playing at 2500) I sent a fleet of 2 submarines (to scout), 3 Destroyers (to destroy), and 4 transports(full of marines) to take back Hawaii. Little did I know at this point that this would trigger the fiercest war I would ever have.

The Japanese meant buissiness. I surrounded Hawaii with troops, so that they couldn't get any resources from their islands and so their units are trapped inside. Anyway, I decided to go for the heart of the empire. I shipped about 8 Battleships to the Japanese main island to bombard the heck out of Kyoto (their capitol) and other coastal targets of invasion. I never was a person with patience, so I loaded all of my transports on the west coast with modern armors and mech infantries and shipped them after the battleships.

Anyway, the Battleships did their job and reduced a size 17 Kyoto to a size 9. I was pretty confident I'd add Japan to my territories pretty soon, but I was dead wrong. When my troops unloaded, they were met with, TACTICAL NUKES! They were all wiped out on the first 2 turns they stepped foot on their island. I was so ticked off at this moment, I let my anger out on Russia and sent a bunch of I.C.B.M.'s their way. I basically cleared the way for Britain to take over.

I felt strangely generous towards them, since they were forced into war with me, but they had many chances and didn't attack. They also helped me out a lot at the start of the game when I was being punked around by France, those little b@$+@rd$. Anyway, Britain captured about 5 German cities by the time of the nuking and I basically nuked the rest of the German cities which had stiff resistances. Ol' Bismarck did his homework. He fortified his countryside with fortressed mechs and radar artilleries to fight back the Brits. Anyway, they soon felt the heat from my missiles.

Back to the war with Japan. I decided to make Hawaii a launch pad so I basically pushed my troops in. I captured Honolulu and sent all of my troops from the west coast to that lone island. I then saw chances for some more 'launch pads'. I sent settlers to the Samoa Islands, Midway Island, and those islands in the south pacific. I immediately built harbors and airports on the new cities and airlifted bombers and marines, especially to Samoa.

I noticed China was very vulnerable, since Japan kicked their @ss centuries back and they haven't recovered since, and they only entered the war for support from the Iroquois, which were now gone. From Samoa and Australia, I sent a huge fleet which landed around real life Hong Kong to take over China. Needless to say, it was easier than beating up someone in a coma. China quickly fell and I had a great place to attack Japan from. With chances to attack from all sides, I decided that the big bad Japanese wouldn't pose such a threat anymore. I quickly 'liberated' the Phillipines and it's resources from Japanse rule and built harbors to take the abundant luxuries on the island back home.

I read in history class once that Truman had an alternative to a-bombing Japan. He said that a blockade would have cost thousands of more lives because the Japanese would have fought to the death. You probably know whats coming next, but I'll say it anyway. Since Japan only held New Guinea after my invasion, I blockaded the Might Japanese inside their island with my whole Hawaiin and Australian naval force (battleships, destroyers, tactical subs, AEGIS cruisers, heck even ironclads). Since I stopped all of their trade, and the only resource they had on thier island was iron, they were pretty defenseless. They tried to nuke some of my ships, but there were always some more to back the ones destroyed.

Now that Japan was cornered, I decided to target someone who has proven lucky, until now. On 2900, I sent an invasion force to southern Africa to take out the Zulus. They went down faster than the Chinese. It was pretty funny watching my marines destroy their Impi's. Anyway, now that I had most of Africa, I could take Egypt and the all important Suez Canal.

By now, my Italian invasion force was up to Rome, but they were stuck there thanks to Roman tanks on mountains up there. I shipped a bunch of cruise missiles to my occupied cities and bombarded the fortresses leading to Rome. I quickly captured Rome and Veil and then the rest of Rome. I could have helped out the British since they were a few squares away from me, but I decided to rest my troops.

But what about the Persians? They continually tried to take Australia but they always got destroyed before they set foot on it. Tactical nukes are your best friends (when not being used on you, ofcourse).

Remember my plan to take over the world's waters? Well, it was coming into effect. Battleships and subs were common around the indian ocean. I can't start to tell you how many units i destroyed in the sea. I got Britain to sign an aliance against France, and I gave them a RoP to start the invasion force. I gave them some gold to handle the troops they needed, and I also gave them some aluminum and oil to mass produce M.A.'s. Battleships and transports continually flowed out of the mainland in every direction every turn.

By this point, I was so freaking gitty. I thought I was the first person ever to take on the WHOLE world on deity and not get my behind made into a hat.

Anyway, I saw a chance to go after Persia, from the inside. I struck a deal with Babylon, giving them resources and everything they needed to divert Persia while I built the invasion force around Yemen.

I'll update some more in a bit ;)

Great story, keep it up!

I'm a big fan of real world scenarios. (Doing one myself as America.)

Can't wait for the next installment.

After I EASILY brought down Babylonia, I had a great base to launch attacks against the Persians. I then thought to myself; "Why the heck am I sparring the Japanese? I can roll over them in a freaking turn!". I then destroyed the Japanese and captured Capurnicus' Observatory in Tokyo and the Great Wall and Kyoto. I was practically doing to spinaroonie at this time. I felt as tho the Civilization elders (don't wanna say gods...) had smiled upon me and my Americans. I now had the whole Pacific Rim and Half of the Atlantic Rim. I was kicking butt.

After the invasion of Japan, something unexpected happened. I haven't been paying any attention to the sciene advancements of the other nations, especially Greece. Those mofo's ICBMed Seattle and Washington! My Italian invasion force then hopped across that stupid little sea and invaded Athens and Sparta, and razed the other cities! I had my revenge! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!1 *cough*. Anyway, I cleaned up the waste around the cities, but the scar wouldn't go away. The cities' production rates dropped. Thank goodness for New York and it's inustrial might. If it wasn't there, my whole Atlantic production would go to hell.

Anyway, my war with Persia was going just as planned, and Britain was kicking more and more French butt every turn. Finally, the British invaded France and it's resources. They also got colonies on the islands west of Africa. They then turned their attention to Germany. I fried some more German cities to soften them up.

At this point I stopped paying attention to Britain and started taking chunks of the Persian empire. I captured Perseopolis and renamed it Baghdad. All the Persians had after my assault was a small city on modern day Mongadishu, Somalia. Now I concentrated my forces on joining the British and killing the Germans. To my surprise, the Germans were mounting a counter offensive against the British, and they captured a few cities in British France, mainly Paris! Then a thought shot across my brain. My forces were right at the German border, and had the oppurtunity to strike at any moment. I then withdrew my forces and stationed them around Ethiopia (real life) to reinforce my weakly protected cities which I got from the Zulus.

I started to garrison troops around Zimbabwe and Cape Town (renamed other town) when I saw something disturbing on the map. The British Isles were now blue! Britain got invaded by Germany! I felt so empty at this time that all I could do is fire as many I.C.B.M.'s as I could at Germany's heartland. It wouldn't slow them down tho. They quickly captured American Italy and Greece, and then captured all of Eurasia, excluding Japan. I was soooooooooo p*ssed.

I started to fly routine bombing raids on German China through Japan and fire Cruise Missiles from anywhere possible. I was desperate. Athough I had twice as much land, a larger military, better witts, and a larger economy, I was cautious.

Then it came. A HUGE force sailed across the Atlantic and landed on the Caribbean islands. They quickly captured Santo Domingo (my family's home city in real life) and got every Caribbean island. They then tried to invade Florida and the Yucatan pelinsula, but they couldn't get past the fortressed troops. I was running low on troops at this point and I had to pay as much as I got each turn to keep cranking out troops and hold back the Germans. People started rioting and having war weariness. I had to pull from the war, but it was against my nature, and I couldn't surrender the Caribbean. Using the Marine Core, I re-captured the Caribbean and offered a peace treaty, but I also demanded 60 g.p.t and London. Ofcourse they refused, but heck, who says I still couldn't beat them?

So wiat let me get this right, your economy is crapping out because of your troops and your cities are rioting because of war and you still wont excpet peace? Heh heh heh. Actually i wouldn't either if the Germans wanted something out of me in return for peace. So give us the run down here, are you and Germany the only civs left? Or just the only powerful ones left? Could you post a screenshot of your world map, i'd like to see that :D

Sorry for not replying in a while. To answer some questions:

Yes, only I and Germany remain. Yes I am stubborn, and no I don't know how to take pictures of the game. The game is finished, and I must say I was pretty happy with the results. I can't type up a long explanation of my game like before, but i'll clue you guys in on what happened anyway:

It looked grim for me, especially when New York plunged into war weariness (my biggest producer). I took care of the problem and decided to take a lesson from real life. 2 fronts weren't enough. I had to take it to the German heart. I sent a huge fleet to Scandinavia and starting invading downwards. I sent a smaller fleet to recapture the British Isles and an even smaller one to get Vietnam (I'll explain why later...).

My forces in Australia shipped out to India and Madagascar, to great launchpads. I then established 'water domination' by trapping Europe and eastern Asia with a ring of Battleships, Submarines, Destroyers, and Nuc.Subs (just in case). The Germies tried to attack the line, but it cost them many a unit (which was pretty good for me since Germany had a pretty good Navy). From Norway I started running bombing raids on the northern German cities and roads. My Marines then did a d-day like invasion in Portugal. I now had about 6 fronts open against German land. The only area my troops met tough resistance was around Denmark.

I'll finish it in a little while, hope ya'll like it.
