This is chapter 2 of a series of scenarios regarding a hypothetical WW3 scenario I have thought up. Thanks to Formota for the map.:goodjob:

In 2010, Antonio Mussolini came to power in Italy under the guise of Liberalism. Soon, though, the Italian people soon learned his true intentions. He became an oppressive leader who restricted all forms of media and religion. He began making deep purges in his own party, the neo-fascist party. The first attempted rebellion began as the Revolutionary Army of Turin grabbed a few areas and began launching propaganda. The rebellion was over by 2012, though, as Chinese troops and equipment arrived to assist the pro-communist fascist government. Emboldened by his victory over the Revolutionaries, Antonio began his campaign to form a “New Roman Empire” much like his grandfather Benito Mussolini. He strengthened the military over a 2 year span and struck France. France had been diplomatically ostracized after their secret supply of arms and to North Korea, Iraq, and Iran against the U.S was discovered. So when Rome occupied France, nobody came to their aid. Afterwards, Antonio managed to envelop Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Austria in his realm.
The year is now 2025. The Italian people have had enough of Antonio and are attempting to overthrow him and reunite Italy as a democracy. The factions include Venice, Naples, New Sicily, Sardinia, and San Marino. There are also two factions striving to liberate France. Corsica is much like modern Taiwan, an island in which the former government of France retreated to regroup and hopefully retake France. The French Liberation Army (FLA) started as an underground organization trying to take France back by any means. Now, taking advantage of troubles on the Italian Mainland, have take Nyons and cells of the FLA have erupted all over the French landscape and are beginning to make a move.

I like this quite a bit Azale :D. I am a big freak on WW2, and fighting a civil war is always fun, especially in italy. While I could add waay more states in this, this is good enough, Ill give some examples:
Milan
Tuscany
Parma
Genoa
Florence
Pisa
Papal States
Siena
Modena
Savoy
Ferrara
Parma
Mantua

And many more, but thats only if you want to get REALLY specific. You might consider making a rennisance europe scenario with these names. (now that you mention it... I might do that for you...) Either way, extremely fun scenario.

I might add Milan or one of the ones you mentioned. Any details, who did you play as?:D

I played as Rome, but in my opinion they are too weak. I think you need to give them more tanks or something. infantry break the tanks down easily, and they have no resources to make new units.

Did you attack Naples? They have 3 lines of Infantry.

But I'll fix the resources and add a few more modern armor.

Antonio Mussolini is a little wacked. He'll do whatever he can for the expansion of his empire and his power.

San marino isn't sound good like a powerful itlian faction
I think is better that the factions are:

Rome
Neaples
Sicily
Venice
Padania
Sardinia
Genoa (state between italy and france)

Well, since in the actual Government in Italy we really have Mussolini's Granddaughter, the scenario plot is quite intriguing :P

The odd (really ODD O_o) Communist-fascist coop is in my opinion to be totally changed, but it does not completely spoil the scenario.

I'm with Saladino, anyway, San Marino is a minor factor, it counts somewhat like 50 thousands people, when Milan has an urban population of 3 millions, and a suburban population of another 2 millions. The same thing applies to Genoa (600 thousands citizens) and many more important cities or regions. Genoa itself is a major naval and military base in reality, 'cause its strategic importance, and the naval and tank factories in the nearby little city of La Spezia.

The adding of the Vatican would be quite interesting too: a MAJOR cultural influence, but pratically no military power. It could be used to try a deep diplomatic play...

Man, this is one of the kick-assinist scenarios I have played in a while. If scenarios were musical instruments, then yours would be Jimi Hendrix's guitar, and other scenarios would be like a triangle that was, uh... a bad triangle.
