I think she died with the rest of them. Witnesses said that the soldiers who executed the Romanovs bayoneted the bodies before burning and burying them. DNA tests on the woman who claimed to be Anastasia proved that she was lying.

Witnesses said that the soldiers who executed the Romanovs bayoneted the bodies before burning and burying them. True. In fact the site of the execution was located a few years ago and the remains exhumed. They showed that the family, including the children, were bayoneted.

That's right. The whole family was located in the early 90's, I believe, and the DNA tests they run on them proved them to be Romanovs. And they were all there.

I was under the impression that the son or one of the daughters were never found. And they were found in the early 1990's.

I always thought that one of the children was never found, only I can't remember if it was a son or daughter.

Check out Dr. Bill Maples' 1990s book, Dead Men Do Tell Tales, chapter 15. He was one of the forensic anthropologists who examined the Tsarist family's remains and identified them. I'm afraid Anastasia did indeed die the gruesome death of a Bolshevik bayonet.
