I read a serious article about the same thing at the BBC's site.

The Onion has been decidedly less funny the past few weeks.

It's much funnier when they aren't so obviously biased in their joking.

Blowhards be damned, that was the just the dose of reality internet I needed.

I agree with the Onion's decline, though not for the same reason. There is only so long that rampant cynicism, sarcasm, and a touch of absurdity can take you. Its gotten predictable.

And contrary to popular belief, I voted against Bush, for Gore, and would have voted for Clinton if I could have.

Generally www.satirewire.com is funnier but its no longer being updated...

I think perhaps we French do not understand satire as well as the anglo-saxons but we do have our moments.:)
