I finally got civ1 and colonization. I really think they should be free downloaded at micropose site or somewhere. Cos u know I think many would like to buy it, but u cant get it anywhere(at least I didnt find it anywhere). And civ1 was zipped about 1.5 megs so I think it could be even sended with email. There is some debate about abandonware being legal or not. I do know that there is a version of Colonization which is abandonware. It is not a standard version. I do not know whether it will work on all windows versions. It played smoothly on windows '98.

I downloaded it too, but I did have the CD once, can't find it anymore, lost it somewhere. But that game still kicks butt. Not many like it. Sid needs to put out a Colonization II. I imagine he will have enough money to do just that after Civ III goes GOLD.

If you're looking for a sequel, how about looking at a fan-created version (http://pub73.ezboard.com/bthecolonizationiiproject) that is being made?

Hmmm..... I dont think the moderators look at this forum. I was trying to find CivNet and every single post regarding downloading in the Civ 1 forum was shot down by the moderators, i spose you must keep to the rules if your a moderator. Its not like Microprose is gonna lose profits from Civ 1 and Colonization downloads.

Not that its hard to search for it on the net anyway!
