In Dr. Conrad's Office

Lab Tech: Ok, Right
The Lab Tech hangs up the phone
Lab Tech: Dr. Conrad, there are reports of a new Island off the coast of China Shore

Dr. Conrad puts out his pipe

Dr. Conrad: I need more evidence, Please Contact Chieftess on this matter, Since I am just a Geophysicist and Chieftess seams to be an expert on Volcanic things

Lab Tech: Right, contacting her right now
The Lab Tech picks up the phone and calls Chieftess
Lab Tech: Chieftess? Ok, we would like some information on Volcanic Phenomenas. Could you sent it to Dr. Conrad's office. Thanks.

Soon the citizens at the "China Shore" has taken pictures of what has happened. Local Cartographers have sent Dr Conrad of the latest map.

Later. Dr. Conrad has hypothisize that the island will cause catastropic events. Soon Chieftess came into Dr. Conrad's office

Dr. Conrad: Ahh, Glad you have came Chieftess, do you have the info on Volcanic events

Chieftess: Yes, I have them here, look here Dr. Conrad...

The next post is reserved for Chieftess

Narrative: Backtrack to 1575AD (just before the American invasion)

An island 60x70 miles in size. Are you *serious*!? That massive thing is going to take AGES to cool off! I see your sensors have indicated the future terrain, including gem deposits.

I am afraid that there will be no time to evacuate the surrounding sea. I can tell you this now. The following areas will received utter devestation within the coming minutes. Yes that's right, minutes!

- The cities of Tientsin, Chian, Coventry, Brighton will be crushed by waves measuring up to 2,000 feet in hieght.

- The northern cities of Penguin, Goonidom, New PDX, and Palanthus may not even live to see the next hour.

- Huntington, Ganges, Leeds, and Eklektochtitlan will see MASSIVE flooding. The waters will spill over into the Southwest province, and create swamps in Bavaria, Bremershaven, Morgana - turning the area into a virtual lake.

- The Burrow will get the brunt of it, as the mountains channel the water straight into the city! They will feel the effects in about 80 minutes.

- Miami will also see flooding as the waters spill out into the north sea.

- The eastern half of China, all of England, much of America, and much of Persia will be pulverised. The Persian Peninsula could very well be under 500 feet of water.

- The tsunamis WILL spread around the world, devestating eastern France, eastern Aremica, Marathon Island, and even Greece. Only the northwestern cities might escape the massive waves. Even still, those waves will be 50 feet max in some cases.

------------------------------

The ensuing eruption will send feet (not inches) of ash per hour to the surrounding coastal cities. Hot ash, rocks, and even boiling rain will hit most of our industrial cities for weeks on end. The shear size of the eruption will be the equivalent of a meteor impact, but from within.

Massive earthquakes will rock the planet over and over, so even the inland cities won't be spared. It is possible that hot lava may even fall on some of the coastal cities.

When will the island cool down? Centuries, perhaps mellenia from now. In 75 years, it may cool off enough that the land will be solid. "solid" being an overstatement. Think what a rubber trampoline is like. Try walking on that. That is how the ground will be 75 years from now.

The thickness? About 5-20 feet. Any attempt to land heavy machinery would be fatal, as you'd risk falling through to the lava, and even creating more lava flows. 250-500 years from now, we may see some hardy moss growing, but only in a few spots, as the rocks will still be very hot. It would take a few thousand years for the lava flows to stop and the land be cool enough for vegetation to take hold.

The immediate effects?

There will be so much dust and ash in the athmosphere, that the sun will be blocked out for years. Tempretures at the equator will plunge to well below freezing for a high. The only 'rain' you might see at the poles would be liquid oxygen. This would go on for decades, even centuries as the dust settles. During this time, the areas around the volcano, ironically, may be the only refuge.

The volcano will act as a huge bonfire, which you'll see glowing in the evening and morning sky.

As you finish reading this, the landbridge, coastal cities, and the Penguin Peninsula have become a shallow coastal basin. The waters are just now reaching Bremershaven. Eastern China is under 200 feet of water in some places, 50 feet in most, and the waters are spilling out into the southern sea. Persia is innudated, with that peninsula being completely submerged. Earthquakes of 5.0 to 9.0 in magnitude are devastating interior cities. England, western America, and northern Persia are feeling the effects of massive tidal waves. The jungles of England and China are being flattened by the tsunamis. When all is said and done, muddy waters will remain 50 miles (5 tiles) inland as the waters rush to refill the Tiburon Sea. Even then, the tsunamis will continue. Many of our land improvements will be in ruins, as will everyone elses.

Within hours, and days, it WILL rain, but the rail will be boiling. I would adivse everyone to stay in their homes, and away from windows.

In weeks, dust (hot dust) will pile up like snow. The entire earth will be layered in 6-12 inches of the stuff, as much of it remains in the air. The volcanos WILL continue to billow for some time.

-----------

Narrative: Forward to 1650AD:

The weather is cooling off dramtically, and in the next few years, we should see the last of above freezing tempretures. We have dominated the earth, but have inherited a planet of ice. The island is still hot, and glowing. There are some patchy areas that are several feet thick, but still inhabitable.

Noldodan looks up from his desk, seeing there a very haggard, dirty messenger. He bids him to make his report.

Messenger: Sir, I have the initial reports on the island. We have found the remains of the Montpelier. They are on the bottom of the Sea, and are completely unsalvageable. The island itself is cooling down, but is still utterly uninhabitable. We may be able to land people there, but I wouldn't risk it for at least another few hundred years. In short... it's useless right now, and we aren't in much better shape.

Noldodan: Good report. Dismissed.

Now Noldodan turns his chair to the window, seeing the ten feet of snow and contemplating, "How do I put people on the island safely...? Hmmm....

You know, no elves, or soccer teams, or the like.... and in return I won't get unrealistic with troop numbers, etc. I probably won't even post in this one, as I am fed up with the last set of stories and just don't want to bother with it any more. IC: Radar photographs have been analyzed from flybys and simple rockets into the island. The redness is the hot glow of the island. There are posionous gases that may make its' way inland. I suggest we hand out oxygen masks to everyone. Everyone that is, who survived...

In Dr. Corad's Office

Dr. Conrad: Thanks for the report, if you shall exscuse us, we would have to survey the damage that the volcano has caused. I just hope the people living buy the Tiburon Sea are alright from the Tsunami. Lab Tech, Get a plane ready and contact CivGeneral and Mara Jade

Lab Tech: Ok
The Lab Tech contacts the Bavaria Airstrip and Mara Jade and CivGeneral. Dr. Conrad looks out his window and thinks to himself "if there is anything that happened on the coast there, we would need a serious Rescue operation. I just hope I dont disturb the engagement of Mara Jade and CivGeneral". Later in the day, Dr Conrad walks to the airstrip with the plain awaiting to leave. Mara Jade, CivGeneral, and Dr. Ed exits Dr. Ed's Pick up truck

Mara Jade: I hope this is important, this is realy messing things up

Dr. Ed: And I was ready to eat at the reseption. They had Apple Pie I tell you.

Dr. Conrad: Sorry to cut the engagement Mara with you and CivGeneral, but this has pressing matters that would require our tallents, if we ever need a rescue mission

Dr. Ed: The Tiburon Sea, that I have watched from the FNN a while ago, have reported a huge tsuami wave.

Mara Jade: Its ok Dr. Conrad, I just hope the cerimonies would continue

Dr. Ed: Don't you GET it Mara? There are millions of people who are about to perish from the tsunamis! This is a CATASTROPHY!

CivGeneral and Mara Jade looks at Dr. Ed with a supprised look on there faces.

Mara Jade: So that is what the tremors and earthquakes were all about.

The group enters the termanal Dr. Ed turned on the news for Mara. He paused for a moment at the sight of the massive tsunami by Penguin, and thought to himself,

Dr. Ed: Great... there goes my yatch tip

Dr. Ed snapped into action and Dr. Conrad signals his Freinds onto the plane to survey the damage and possibly take a look at the Volcano

Also, all life in the Tiburon Sea, with the exception of the extreme northern sea, has ceased to exist, as much of the waters have been at a slow boil for decades due to the constant lava flows.

The Team boards the plane. Soon CivGeneral realized that it is his plane, a DC-3. Lab Tech Dan and Bob also boards the plane

CivGeneral: We better stay away from the Volcano, I just made payments for it just last week

Dr. Ed: Mara Jade, I would recomend you sit in the co-pilot's seat and Dr. Conrad will be the navigator.

Dr. Conrad: What would you do?

Dr. Ed: Takes some pictures of course

Dr. Conrad pulls out his tape recorder and beguins to speek into it as the group boards the plane

Dr. Conrad: Speeking into the Tape Recorder And so beguins our mission to se what the volcano has done and hopefully see the belly of the beast itself

CivGeneral and Mara Jade grabs the controls. CivGeneral then starts the engines. Dr. Conrad looks out the window. Lab Tech Bob gets out his notes, Lab Tech Dan closes the hatch

CivGeneral: I hope this plane would make it

The Plane takes off from the Bavaria dusty Airstrip. Hours later they reached Penguin

Dr. Conrad: Would you look at that, Penguin is surounded by water. We cant even see the forests north of Penguin

CivGeneral: All I can see is the waters crashing against the mountains on the east side of Tarkingrad

Dr. Ed: I just wished we knew about this earlyer

Dr. Conrad: There was no way of warning them

Dr. Ed stares in silence out the window as the plane flies past Penguin. Hours has pased and Mara Jade looks out the window

Mara Jade: CivGeneral, Dr. Ed. Look at that!

Dr. Ed rushes to the cabin and noticed a glowing red object

Dr. Ed: Why I be darned, thats the volcano.

Dr. Conrad: Speeking into his Tape recorder Ans so we have found the beast, we are going to to see the belly of the beast

CivGeneral: Dr. Conrad, Ermm, I dont think we are going "in" there

The plane continues to fly closer to the Volcanic Island

CivGeneral: Dr. Ed, are you taking notes over there

Dr. Ed: Just a minute, I need to take a picture of this

Dr. Ed snaps a picture of the island. In the distance. Mara Jade, CivGeneral, and Dr. Ed could see Glowing Hot rocks, Firestorms, and a lavaflows a mile wide spilling into the sea

Mara Jade: I dont think you would see much. The lava is spilling into the sea causing massive steam clouds acting as a smoke screen.

CivGeneral: The picture you have taken would only show the the hot lava and rocks on the edges

Lab Tech Bob: CivGeneral! Is it just me, or are the engines sputtering?

CivGeneral looks to the sides of the planeCivGeneral:
I suppose you're right. The dust must be interfering with the engines. We have to turn back now.

CivGeneral: When we land in Bavaria, imediately round up any specal forces units. This would have to be the biggest rescue mission that Fanatika has seen.

Dr. Conrad: Ill see what I can do. After the war, there would only be a few resources advalible to us

Lab Tech Bob: How about we get tons and tons of Concreate to cap the volcano

CivGeneral, Dr. Ed, Dr. Conrad, Lab Tech Dan, and Mara Jade looks at Bob

Dr. Conrad: That is impossible, even with the resources we have the Lava will still melt the concreate mix and it is too dangerous to send any aircraft there.

CivGeneral: We'll decide that when we get back

CivGeneral looks over to where Bavaria is at

CivGeneral: Hey, what's happening up there? Bavaria is being flooded! We have to head west

Dr. Conrad: I suggest the mountains of Izibia or Kells. They should be safe

CivGeneral: Sure, I'll divert the flight to one of those cities. We don't have much fuel, so we'll stop at Izibia

The plane makes its' way westward as the waters can be seen around Bremershaven

It is now 1650. Sir SaaM the Sensible's entire kingdom is gone. He and those who were spared from the great tidal wave that destroyed the city are now living in Kyoto. With him are his sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, as well as 1000 citizens who escaped the flood.
Sensible: I am going down in history as the Sir SaaM who destroyed Penguin.... Wait.. There may still be hope... Call- Mr. Pindleton
Yes, thats right. Mr. Pindleton. The same scientist who researched for Fanatika. In 1625, at dawn of the Modern Age, a fully sustainable comunity was being developed in Gem Mountains. When the first rockets were fired in 1645, the scientists knew what they could now do. Using a special blend of rubber, oil and the new superelement aluminum, along with Dr. Ed's glowing rocks, a dome was placed over this community. It could withstand being submerged. Finally, the doctors of Penguin had become greater then the birds themselfe. This entire dome was computer operated and was airlifted and dropped dropped back home: Back into the mirky depths of Penguin.
Mr. Pindleton: Yello?
Sensible: No time for small talk, Frank. We need to fit all 7000 of us into that biosphere.
Mr. Pindleton: 7000! It currently only holds 50, but it could hold that many if we squeezed. What is so urgent about it.
Sensible: Turn your TV on to channel 8.
Mr. Pindleton sees what is happening. There he sees the water, contiuing to rise. The world may be dead soon... Then, he dawns on an idea
Pindleton: Project R! Thats it! I can save us. And not just us. The entire world! All of Fanatika!!! Sir SaaM, come down here. Bring everyone. All your citizens. Bring CivGeneral, Prince Grandmaster, Lady Chieftess and most importantly, Dr. Ed and Dr. Conrad. I can save the world!

Woah. Slow down there, Mr. Pindleton. Care to explain?

OOC: Err... You're gonna build a 100 square mile rubber dome in less than 6 hours? CG already flew past, saying that the city was flooded... Besides, what about airvents? The city's gonna suffocate in its' own polluted smog. Not to mention the water will be over the dome. It's also gonna need to be a vacuum, meaning less pressure inside of the dome. Ever put a plunger in your toilet? It doesn't pull up unless you pull on it hard. I for one wouldn't like to be in such a dome. You're talking a space-like vacuum.

Stuck_as_a_Mac

CT- The dome was built in 1645, and now its 1650. It was built in that time. Please just allow us to imagine that there is such a dome. I know it needs a vacuum. And who says it dosent have waste to energy converters? Let us just use our imagination for this, please.

Enroute to Bremershaven, CivGeneral has recived a message from Chieftess from Kyoto Labs

Mara Jade: I just hope the plane can take it.

Dr. Conrad: I told you to buy the Lockheed Constalation, than this old clunker.

The plane diverts its route and heads to Kyoto. 7 Hours later, the plane aproaches Kyoto

CivGeneral: There it is, Kyoto. Home of the Kyoto Labs

CivGeneral and Mara Jade makes an attemp to land in the Kyoto airstrip. After they have landed Chieftess aproaches the group

Dr. Ed: Glad to see you. I have pictures of the Island with me, though in poor quality

CivGeneral: Mara Jade and I will try to get some sourt of rescue crew to save the citizens that were flooded out.

Mara Jade: Chieftess, may we see a map of the affected area

Chieftess hands the group a map showing the areas effected by the Tsunami. Though the map is old, it gives them a general idea on what cities are effected

Dr. Conrad: By the looks of this, the Sea level Terrain will be a shallow sea basion and the hills would poke through the water, while the mountans would be above water.

Chieftess: Mara Jade and CivGeneral, before you head off to gather up supplies, you may want to stick around in Kyoto Labs for a while

Chieftess and the group enters Kyoto Labs. Suddenly they found Stuck and his gang still talking about enclosing Penguin in a dome

Dr. Conrad: Its to late to save Penguin

Dr. Ed: The Tsunami came to quickly and swallowed Penguin whole

Stuck and his Penguin group looks at the two scientists with tears comming out of there eyes

Dr. Ed: I know it is hard to accept it but we must move on.

OOC: WHOA!!! HOLD EVERYTHING!!!

We're really getting out of synch here (and I thought the PTW OOS errors were bad. ;)). The volcano is erupting in 1575AD. The story got side tracked, and I'm trying to get it back to 1575AD. No skipping around. CG and I are in 1575AD surveying things, and you're in 1650AD. Get on the right timeframe! I'll tell you what, I'll advance the years when I think we're ready. You really need to read up on a few NES threads in the Stories & Tales section. They don't skip around like this. Nor do they even defy the laws of physics.

I'm in Kyoto.
CG is in a plane in Izibia.
The Tsunami will overtake Penguin in 6 hours, not 70 years later! That's absurd!

Do you REALLY think we can go cross country in sub-jet propelled planes in 6 hours?

no, just so we can follow it one scene at a time. Have you ever read a book, seen a movie, played a game where it says stuff like, "6 months later", "1 year later", "3 years later" etc.? That's just like this story. Right now is the dramitic part of the scene, then after taking it some distance (maybe for another few "weeks", "months"), we could say "70 years later...".

Grandmaster is in his palace in Grandmastoria. The city had barely been spared from the rogue wave's devastation. He had drawn his top advisors (those who had survived) around him. They were now underground in the War Room, a heavilly fortified bunker under the palace, stocked with supplies.

Grandmaster: General, I need a status report. What is the extent of the damage?

General von Morganheim: The Continent has been obliterated, sir. Morgana, Penguin, Hungtington, and even Bavaria to an extent have been flooded with massive amounts of water. The coastal cities are suffering from volcanic ash raining down on them. You know those strange weapons that our scientists had been experimenting with? The ones that wouldn't be ready for a while?

GM: The radiation bombs? What about them?

von Morganheim: The ash and flame falling on the cities is similar in effect to the fallout of those weapons.

GM: Then the cities are being destroyed...

von Morganheim: I am afraid so, sir. However, this bunker was designed to resist both the explosive force and the fallout of those weapons, so it should keep us safe from the ash and debris.

GM: What is the use of staying stuff when there is no world left to live in? I have felt less threatened in battles; there I can die, but in the open. Here I will live, but trapped in a box!

Commander Raimler: Sir, there might be a way we can get out of here.

von Morganheim: Are you mad, commander? If we go out there, we will be killed by the ash!

GM: Let the man speak, General.

Raimler: Sir, do you remember those Babylonian Jihad chaps over in Eridu?

GM: Yes, of course, we sent 2nd Fleet and the Rangers to shut them down. We devoted the entire carrier group to destroying them.

Raimler: Sir, Eridu is well outside the damage zone. 2nd Fleet was not harmed by the flooding. In theory, we could contact them and they could pull right up to the city due to the flooding. We could have CV-2 evacuate us and the rest of the Vanirians to higher ground, like perhaps Nara in New Japan. You were a governor there, I am sure you would be welcome. Plus it is as far as you can get from this devastation.

GM: You are wiser than your rank would say, Commander. Let's get Captain Nimitz and CV-2 on the radio, and have them steam over here. Also, General Morganheim, do you know the fate of Fighter Squadron 17 out at Windfall?

von Morganheim: Yes, sir. Windfall was not effected. Squadron 17 was in the prcess of outmoding its prop fighters for the new jets.

GM: Radio them, and tell them that I want a two-plane recon sortie out surveying this volcano yesterday. Understood, General?

von Morganheim: Yes, sir.

Grandmaster turns to study the map n the table, while his subordinates make the appropriate radio calls.

OOC: Sorry about being out-of-time like everyone else. We were all confused. Anyway, now to the action...

It was a nice, peaceful winter day in Minas Alcar, the epitome of peace, when suddenly... (OOC: Go cliché!)

Noldodan: What was THAT?!

This was a quite normal response to events like the one which had just happened, a gigantic BOOM!!! from the southeast. Then, mere minutes later...

Dirty, haggard messenger from outside: Sir! You won't believe this but... We have a giant tsunami headed for the plains! We'll be safe here, but Bombay... They might not make it, sir.

Noldodan: Quick! Get word to them immediately!

But right when he gives this order, a message comes in over the newly-installed telephone...

Phone: Sir, that tsunami's about to hit! Get ready...

Mere moments later, the tsunami strikes the front of the palace, and after a second the sound of rushing water can be heard. Noldodan turns around just in time to see the water come careening around and over the back of the palace...

Noldodan: Ossë... How could you do this... And Ulmo, how could you allow this... DAMN YOU!

Coinciding with this outburst he slams his fist on the table an jars an incoming message...

Phone: Sir... We've lost communications with the outside. All our posts outside the palace are gone, and the lower levels are flooded, but... Wait. I think I can still make out some houses... YES! There are still some houses out there!

Noldodan: Open up the aviary, and get those Eagles out there! I want those houses checked out NOW! Now... Ingoldo, you're in charge. I'm going to go to Bombay personally and see the damage there. Okay? Get moving, people!

Why would I have boats? Minas Alcar is in the hills, remember? Besides, Eagles are a lot quicker. And about ealges being frightened of water... I seem to recall beaing told by my dad, seeing it happen in RL and on nature shows eagles swooping into the water to catch fish, but I suppose that all three sources COULD be wrong. Now THATS sarcasm!

Civanator radios to CV-2

Civanator: CV-2, this is NC128 requesting clearance for landing on the runway.

CV-2: *static* Permi.... *static* ..on granted NC... *static* 8.

As Civanator goes for landind, the landing gear is stuck closed, and the engine is failing. He notices low oil pressure as his plane nosedives into the water

Civanator: Mayday! Mayday! *static*

Civanator's plane crashes into the water, but the winshield holds. He clicks off his seat belt and tries to open the cockpit window. At first it doesn't budge. Then it opens and water pours in. Civanator swims to the service, where a rescue boat has been deployed. They come over and pick him up. He is safe, for the moment.

I was trying to make up a story about giant eagles (ones you can fly on). Being they're a new species apparently...

Later in the night CivGeneral starts tossing and Turning in his sleep. What CivGeneral sees in his Dream was the Planet covered in a vast wasteland of Snow and Ice. He also dreamed that he and a few anonymous Fanatikans were with him

CivGeneral: (Talking in his sleap) No, Not the Cold, what has happened?!

CivGeneral starts to dream that suddenly a Volcano appears out of no where and embeads the entire landscape with lava. He also noticed that everyone is starting to panic as the lava encloses them. Soon CivGeneral wakes up in a cold sweat

CivGeneral: Noooooooo!! Not the Lava!!

CivGeneral looks around the room he is sleaping in, He looks next to him and noticed that mara Jade is still sleaping. CivGeneral gets up and walks to the hotel window and notices that everything is still normal.

CivGeneral: (wisper) Thank goodness that was only a dream.

CivGeneral looks at the clock in the room. It says 4:00am Kyoto time. CivGeneral decided to walk outside. He soon bumps into Dr. Ed.

Dr. Ed: CivGeneral, what are you doing up at this hour?

CivGeneral: I just got a Nightmare. About the planet being a giant ice ball and suddenly a volcano pops up and surounds my group in lava

Dr. Ed: Not to worry, that was only a dream, no need to get worked up about it.

Soon Mara Jade follows CivGeneral to where he and Dr. Ed are at

Mara Jade: What happened CivGeneral?

CivGeneral: (Explains the Nightmare to Mara)

Dr. Ed: Just a common nightmare Mara. Besides Mr. Pindleton is comming soon. Hopefully within the few days.

Mara Jade: I hope that CivGeneral's plane would be ready to catch up to Grandmaster.

Civanator borrows a plane from CV-2 and flies towards McNulty's Cathedral.

Civanator: Judgement day..... I would rather die in the sky than anywhere else....

Civanator get's within a mile of McNulty's Cathedral. Suddenly the plane disappears when entering a cloud. Civanator is never seen again in Fanatika.

Gunning notices the water is getting close to his mansion in Gunningheim.

Gunning: Hmm, I wonder what's causing this...Let's check this on the news.

Gunning turns on the news.

Newscaster: Yes, a volcano or something has made everyting here in Penguin get flooded. It's awful, everything is gone. We'll be back with your eye in the sky later. Bzzt.

Gunning turns off the news and thiks for a while.

Gunning: Hmm, well, that's bad...Better call CG to talk about that project he was talking about earlier.

Gunning calls CG and hears Mara in the background talking to someone. He also hears the sound of a plane.

CG: Hello?

Gunning: Yes, hi CG. What are you doing?

CG: Flying to go pick up Grandmaster...

Gunning: Well, could you pick me up too? The water is getting kind of high here at my mansion...

CG: Well, its kind of out of the way...but...ok. We'll be there ASAP.

Gunning notices that the water has come into his mansion and is starting to fill up to his ankles.

Gunning: Please hurry!!!

andrew and his top agent are at Kyoto with his specops team. he is makeing a model of the Penguin biosphere, it is a invention that will be made in years to come. at least 70 years will be gone before they will build a biosphere. but he still has the fantasy. and is working on the biosphere with Ed and Conrad.

andrew: the biosphere, if we rush can we build a machine to save Penguin?

Dr. Conrad: maybe, maybe.

Dr. Ed: i have a pump that could pump the water out of Penguin, and building sorta like the Grandmastoria War room, we could.

andrew: the Penguin biosphere can work using the tech we use for submarines.

Dr. Conrad: gosh! i did not think about that!

Dr. Ed: and my pump could be used.

andrew: start right now, we could bring some citys back to life!

3 things: one, cars at this time have a top speed of 35 mph. You're going nowhere fast. Second, Penguin is already underwater. Third, Valhalla is already underwater. SO John is dead AGAIN, this time drowned. YAY!

First off, before the advent of flight (where we are) in the 30's, the average car's top speed was in the neighborhood of 30 mph. Second, yes, everyone does have a fair chance. You could simply rephrase your message to say that you drove out as soon as you heard the reports, then boarded a fast train.

John is dead due to (/me searches for a word meaning stupidity but is not considered flamming, but to no avail) and lack of followups. Also, Valhalla experienced massive earthquakes. look at the map. and regarding the car: we're no where near going past 40mph.
Also also- the Cupertanians wre able to flee since they caravaned north, stopping in Morgana before taking a train to Kyoto.

Its endgame. Treates mean nill. I have lost my empire to your volcano.
Quid facis, Sir John? Quid cogitas? Sentimus magna vitiae insideasque tuas! O tempora! O mores! Vanir haec intelegit, Cupertania videt. Hic tamen vivit!! VIVIT?!?!?!
Now your character dies.
With anger in his eyes, Sir SaaM the Survivalist picks up a bayonet
Survivalist: Its a good day to die....

Soon.. the duel will start. Draw your weapon, Sir John.
