I don't understand your system of moves. What's 1.e4? Please use the traditional move naming scheme (i.e. pawn to king-knight 3, etc.)

heres the way notation works.
if you move a pawn, just say coordinates
ie-e4 d4 c4 g3
n=knight k=king q=queen b=bishop r=rook

if i move knight to kings bishop 3 it would be: N-f3
if it is a capture it would be:Nxf3, or Nxp or Q or B or N or R
if it is a check it would read like this: N-f3+
double check: N-f3++
check mate: N-f3#

my first move is 1.e4 or 1.kings pawn to king 4

the shorter way is easier i think

You should put that in a special topic or something, so people like me can find it and understand it easier. I'll be reading my chess books next week, so I'll play a game when I've finished them (I won't embarass myself by playing at my current level). I look forward to thrashing any hard-core conservatives that want to give me a game...

I know this is a bit delayed, but I don't have a chess board. I just downloaded a chess program. I will put our moves in there from now on, so it will be easy to look at.

My move is: King pawn to King 4.

I hope we can pick up the pace a bit more with this now.

Always count them from your own side (so it's king 4)

I am very confused now... you moved to king 4 in the first move, then I moved to king 4 as well. You cannot move your king pawn again; it has nowhere to go. You will have to find another move. You are white.
