Martin Schmidt Jan 12, 2001, 03:36 AM I can think of two reasons for the move c6 . First is to prevent d5 second is to free the Queen from protection of c7 , i expected c6 . stellar converter Jan 12, 2001, 09:15 PM d5 is still quite possible, after whites next move, which i willnot say, because i may be accused of helping you. after that move, i do not see anything preventing d5. i might have expected b6, to release bishop. hes not going anywhere now, it seems. Smash Mar 07, 2001, 09:46 PM draw agreed.1/2-1/2 Good hard fought game. The game was almost out of hand before I returned the pawn. After that I felt much better although my position was still difficult. I thought I could get an edge with 41....Rd5+ but my "analysis" showed me different. What I looked at ended with black having an f pawn and white with a b pawn.Neither of which could successfully promote without the other doing the same. [This message has been edited by Smash (edited April 08, 2001).] Martin Schmidt Mar 08, 2001, 08:38 AM Thanks for playing. I think the decision to give the pawn back for queen exange was good. After that my winning chances where minimal because of the different bishops. |
