I was just wondering what everybody would prefer for our ruleset. BTW, this is informational.

I think far fewer rules than last time would be a good and positive thing. I think it would be good if we passed laws that dealt with how to run our civ. While we would still need some rules for how to organize our demogame government, the bulk of our legislative efforts should be aimed towards passing *laws* that will guide our elected officials. I'm talking about laws that will specify how large our military should be, how large our provinces should be, special production orders (such as city X is a settler factory and should produce a settler every 20 turns or whatever). I think debating and passing laws like these would help us to reach a consensus on many issues and stay focused on the goals we agree on.

yes I totally agree. Fewer rules would make the game more simple and so more fun. Donsig puts the case well so I wont add anything.

Far fewer. We're starting with just the minimum requirements. As long as we don't go hog wild with enacting new legislation we can continue with a simple to understand game. We need to avoid "what if" legislation and concentrate on "this must be" rules.
