You're doin fine Stellar.Remember there is much to learn.You were way too aggressive in our game and maybe resigned a little early.You were doing fine against anand until you got too aggressive again.http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif
I think everybody played that way at one time.It works well until you start to encounter "better" players.I know its tempting when you see something but, for the same reason they teach players to sit on their hands in tournaments,you must be sure what you see is correct or complete.
I can't tell you how many times I've played the "best" move only to see it is a killer for me 5 minutes after I hit my clock....if I had just looked a little longer...like my queen move against Martin.It seemed good when I played it but the more I looked I saw it was well worth the pawn for Martin to open the file.But I had allready made the move by then....It was almost a decisive error for me.

This format is very good for that.You can have a good look at a line of play and think"ok thats my move"
Come back a few hours later and find its not so good or something else is better.

Sorry Smash, but as I haven't followed your "conversation" from the beginning, could you tell me what you're talking about with SC please?
