after scoring what can only be described as a stunning upset of highly ranked anand,I am now brimming with confidence and enthusiaism.http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/wink.gif
Who among you has the courage to step up?
Since I have played 2 with black and 1 with white I will select the white pieces making any prospective opponents task even more daunting.....

Congrats by the way on your win. I must confess there was a spell in that game when I had not a clue what was happening. So please don't try to repeat the position in this gamehttp://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you want a laugh, I just turned down a draw in a game on Stans netchess and my opponent immediately "sacrificed" a rook to win my queen and destroy my position! I thought the draw offer was his admission that I was at least equal, but it turned out to be a deep bluff.

stellar converter May 12, 2001, 12:09 AM you like classical lines?...c4 (b6http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif)
Smash May 12, 2001, 12:45 AM I like the flexibilty of the English or the Reti.
....b6 was possibly played to steer for a Queen's Indian setup or something.I like black's set up right now

Sorry to take so long. You know how catious I like to be The position is a little frightening especially after watching Smash and Anand play such a complex game. So since you like my setup so much, I'm going to change it a bit.
Funnily enough I do like classical play. In fact I've gone back to 1. d4 in some games on the net recently. For this game, I felt I had to try one more time with the English Defense. If it had (or even if it has) transposed into a QID I probably would not have recognized it because despite a lifelong love of the fianchetto (mainly on account of the sound of the word), I've never played QID.
edit: I just realized my move is a blunder at the moment I pressed the button. I was only looking at some bits of the boardhttp://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif. Oh well. We can play again?
