Military Instructions
Continue Exploring the territory.
Where? North, South, East, West? Hills, plains, forests? Where do you want the exploration and with which units? What garrison do you want in the capital? Your instructions are not sufficient.
naervod May 04, 2003, 09:42 PM Although CG has the final say, I would say north and east and for now a one wariior (to be added onto) garrison in the capital.
Shaitan May 05, 2003, 04:11 AM Domestic says the most promising location for our next city is the river valley to the west.
amirsan May 05, 2003, 01:55 PM ooo. ok
Hancock May 06, 2003, 08:47 AM I would like to apply for a position as a Major General to command one corps of our beloved military and help our country to achieve victory.
Shaitan May 06, 2003, 08:52 AM I am very concerned that the Military Leader has been absent from this thread for 5 days, especially as there is an immediate need for his decision on troop deployment. So far the only actions from this office have been filling extensible positions that have no direct effect on the game at the moment and one insufficient chat directive. I request and demand that the Military Leader deal with the requirements of this office.

Your telling me, 2 people have applied for positions which don't even exist:rolleyes:

I have expanded it more in the TC thread. I have decided to have two warriors on Exploration duty and leave one Warrior on Defensive Garrison duty.
Donovan Zoi May 06, 2003, 05:52 PM My apologies as well, Mr. President. As deputy, it is my duty to pick up the slack during times like this. It will not happen again.
From here on out, I will keep an eye on the turnchat thread as well as this one to make sure that you are receiving adequate briefing from the Military.
Shaitan May 06, 2003, 06:41 PM Thank you both.

Thats exactly what I was thinking... lol
Shaitan May 07, 2003, 10:03 AM Councilor CivGeneral, your chat instructions indicate that the second exploring warrior should be sent to the East. In 8 turns we will be completing a settler that will be traveling to the SouthWest. We would prefer if this warrior was sent to scout in that direction so we know where to plant the city and then garrison the new city after it is founded.
Chieftess May 07, 2003, 10:05 AM yes, we even need the warrior to scout out any possible barb huts in order to protect the settler. To the NE, it looks like more desert and plains. We should focus on expansion into better areas first.
Falcon02 May 07, 2003, 11:00 AM Agreed every settler should have an escort, always has and always will be DG policy.
naervod May 07, 2003, 02:20 PM Yes that will be our policy until we stop settling.
Also, I am proud to announce that I have been appointed by the Culture Ministry to serve as the Military Historian of our nations. I will need acess to all military records from here on out to make a complete history.

Ill have that Warrior scout out that location and "Uproot" any Barb camps that are in the setteling location.
CivGeneral May 08, 2003, 05:22 PM Gah, I cant beleve the Warrior that was scouting had been defeated (It was Elite) :(. This severly jepradises (Spelling?) the settler since we have a Barb on the loose. I would be redirecting the other Scouting warrior to be permantly assighned to the Settler and the city it produce.
Stuck_as_a_Mac May 08, 2003, 05:32 PM Jeopardizes.
And yea, I agree
Chieftess May 08, 2003, 05:40 PM It was in the northern mountain I believe, so I think the settler will still be safe, even though the city may be sacked when it's built.

That is my main consern, that the city would be ransacked by the Barbarian Warrior when the city is founded. Its not a preaty sight after they "come-a-sacking".
Hancock May 08, 2003, 07:08 PM Yes it is not pretty, I would reccomend sending two warriors with each scout until we have stronger warriors and are more secure.

1. We don't have scouts. We're Rome. We're using warriors to uncover terrain.
2.We don't have enough warriors to send out 2 warriors for each "scout" and defend our city.
3. What do you mean by stronger warriors:confused:? Do you mean Veteran or Elite?
btw, if i sound mean, sorry, im just trying to sort out the confusion.
Hancock May 08, 2003, 07:47 PM Thanks, but I just feel we need to do something to not only take out that barbarian quick and to make sure that that doesn't happen again.
Shaitan May 09, 2003, 04:46 PM Please comment on this plan (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?postid=970756#post970756) as it involves the movement of troops and garrisoning of Noshuret.
Cpt Kaos May 09, 2003, 09:16 PM Shai this is the most prudent plan yet. Also it's the most doable
Let's go with this one.
Hancock May 09, 2003, 09:31 PM I concur your excelency
Sir John May 10, 2003, 02:49 PM Can I be in the Office of the army??
Bacon King May 11, 2003, 10:08 AM Office of army is already taken by Peri, but you can join if you want to make up a position like two people have already:rolleyes:
Bacon King May 11, 2003, 11:16 AM Assesment- We currently have no Naval units to assess.
Bacon King May 14, 2003, 04:32 PM Assesment- We currently have no Naval units to assess.
