This thread is for any events in the game. A new major event occurs after every turn chat. A minor event (even NPCs) can occur at any time in order to spice up the gameplay.

First Event: A group of about 8 Barbarians attack from the field to the east! They start raizing everything in sight! The smoke signal was a foreshadowing of this event.

Stuck had 4 high gentry with no promotion. Only created.
Noldodan had a high gentry without a promotion (only the despot can give it).
Reddwarfian had more than one high gentry without a promo. Character killed off.
sansono1 is a high noble - that is against the rules as we don't have the tech for it.
Armisan's is a noble. Can't be a noble until monarchy.

Remember to update your characters accordingly. Also, remember that there will be no nobles and higher until monoarchy, and imperial until fuedalism. Also, no changing your characters rank unless it's a promotion in the storyline.

Overgrazing - There is a starvation risk for 1 turn.

Hurricane - A hurricane pushes through the bay and turns towards the mountains.

Stampede - A stampede of game animals and cattle rampage through city streets. 3 characters are gourged and killed:

Fifth Event:

A beuatiful storm rolls in with spectacular lightning. During the height of the storm, a lightning bolt struck a house, causing it to cave in. Acilius Gontskius Andrew was killed when the roof collapsed onto him. Then, the storms left as quickly as they came.

There are murmurs that this was some sort of omen. Others try to explain this accident. Even more say it's some sort of sign. This is the 2nd time tragedy has befallen the family of the despot.

Demogame Event: 11 years have past! I am doing something different. I'm only listing the characters that are still alive. If you don't see your character's name, then he/she is presumed dead.

@CT - Don't forget the demogame generated events. For example, in the last chat Noshuret was sacked and Gorina was attacked (but successfully defended). Those are big events.

Demogame Event: Since both cities were sacked last turn, Barbarians entered the capital and demanded the entire tresury of the despot's family. 20% of all nobles and higher were killed in the barb raid! (I will be looking through to see who's a noble or higher and pass it through a RNG).

Note: This is the trial run of something I hope to be more succesful. Periodically, to spice things up, I will create NPCs and give them armies about the same size of those in existance in Fanatica. Whether they are sucessful or not remains to be seen,

Since this is before this turn chat (didn't get to earlier - I was busy programming and fixing stubborn bugs). Everyone alive ages 10 years. Please remember to follow the exact age limit (still 20) and the caste bonus. The cutoff for all characters is equal to their lifespan during this "turn". (i.e., if it's a commoner, they all die at 20 or up).

Demogame Event:

another 14 turns were played, so characters will age 14 years, plus the 10 years they aged last time. The age limit is still 20, with a bonus to higher castes.

Grapes by Noshuret ferment and grapes are given to all people as a gift from Rome.

The Mines 1 NW of Noshuret collapse! Any character who owns tiles there recieves a lost of the current shield production of that tile (2spt).

Better road system developed. +1 shield, food and commerce for 5 turns.

Event!

Overgrazing in Gorina leads to drought-like conditions. It will take 5 turns to bring it back to normal.

-1 food to each tile within 2 tiles of Gorina. (5x5 box).

This will last the first 5 turns of tonight's turnchat.

Demogame Event! - Due to the construction of a granary in Noshuret, the base life expectency has increased to 30. For simplicity, all characters will be subject to the base 30 lifespan, regardless of the turn that the granary was built. Remember that caste bonuses still apply.

According to recent discussions here in the RPG, the Despot would be an Emperor. OK, we'll wait for Padma. Diutius is only 53 years of age.

I selected the names of all the royals and nobles that I asked CivGeneral to give me. I'll ask him to be more careful next time.

It gets harder as everyone starts either editing after the turnchat, or doesn't edit at all. But, I'll see what I can do.
