Still contemplating buying a new 'puter. http://www.timecomputers.com do seem to be offering really good deals, but I've got this thing nagging at the back of my mind that there was always supposed to be something slightly 'off' about Time PCs. Is there anything I should know about their computers, before I buy?

Yes- two have my friends have bought computers from Time - and both have had problems. This is not a huge sample but Time have a poor reputation for reliability and a worse reputation for fixing it when it goes wrong.

Their spec looks good on paper but they dont do well in head to head comparisons.

I'd steer clear if I were in the market for a new machine.

If you know how to assemble them, buying individual parts will actually come out to be the cheapest.

Yes, I'd recommend you avoid Time like the plague, I'm afraid. Everyone I know who has used them has had problems, and my father's firm did a few years ago. They've since sworn not to touch them with a bargepole.
