In this game I just finished (which I wrote about in another post, the Carthaginians were positioned on a bunch of hills near the end of a penninsula. I discovered them well into the game, when I had navigation, and I realized they only had one city! They didn't have their other cities conquered, they just never built anymore. How could the computer be that pathetic? Worse yet, the Koreans came from two islands away and built two cities on the end of their penninsula. So somehow the Koreans got map making and sent two settlers to this other continent before the carthaginians got around to building another city. Ironically, they ended up being one of the longest lasting civs, because no one bothered to kill them. They were still using Numidian Mercenaries when I had tanks though. It was quite sad.
