Is this a 'new' version of kazaa?

The really ironic / interesting thing is that I found it from a link from my msn / hotmail homepage

Well, Kazaa Lite still works for me, so what's the need?

I went to the Kazaa homepage, adn tehy make no mention of Kazaa Platinum.

Kazaa platimum requires that you register, and pay $1.50 / month by credit card.

Maybe its M$ affliated, with the express intention of logging who is downloading / sharing what. I bet the EULA for this one is massive ;)

I wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole. :)

I'd definitely stay away from this.
It looks like another copy of kazaa lite that someone's trying to sell.

eMule (http://www.emule-project.net) is better.

Well, it was advertised as "napster's replacement", which makes me think that its actually the music industries roll-out of making people pay for swapping / downloading music. This opinion reinforced by it being advertised on MSN. Dodgy marketting, as they are using the Kazaa "trademark".

I don't like that, and don't like giving my credit card details to such an organisation. Looks a bit 'big brother'-ish to me.
