This is what I'm working on right now. It's an African leaderhead. The clothing and backgrounds are from Nigeria, and that is the civilization that I will be using him for.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Gael, is making leaderheads for a scenerio. They have the three emotional settings: angry, neutral, happy. However, they are not "animated;" the .flcs are made from three static images. Would it be a huge problem if this leaderhead were made like that? It would save a lot of hastles, and I'm leaning towards doing it that way. The main reason is that, as I hear, the file sizes are much smaller!

2. Could anyone find suitable backgrounds for the Industrial and Modern eras? I looked on-line for a while, but I couldn't come up with anything. Ideally, they would be from Nigeria. Thanks for your help. :)

Is there not just women that have these rings around their neck? Otherwise very nice..!

It looks pretty good, but somehow i cant see if its male or female? I would prefer a fully animated leaderhead, the file size means nothing, afterall you are only going to download it once ot twice:)

I'd like him animated, but do as you like. :)
The second background seems strange, and I think I know why. The picture of the boats is focused on the boats, while you also, obviously, focus on the guy. This givs 2 foci in the pic, and as we are used to only one, that seems weird. So maybe you could blur the boats a tiny bit?
If he could flare his nostrils in the angry pic, then that would be cool.
I really like the red "scarf", and the structure of the cloth on his jacket (or whatever it is).

Looks good utah, I'm glad to see some Africian leaderheads being made.

Just though I'd let you know, the static leaderheads that I created,(and pdescobar put together), have only the nutral expression through out the 121 frames in the flics.
If you had just the one nutral, mad, and angry images on the set keyframes and the rest of the frames nutral, the animation would flicker eradically from emotion to no emotion, Very ugly.

The emotion images should only be kept for the pcx files if thats the way you are going to do it, although this is only my theory, I never tested it.

Taking MRTN's advice...

Here's a nice modern background

And what about this for the industrial age?

They're both hotels. The modern one is in the capital of Nigeria, while the second one is in South Africa.

aaminion00, if you use the [IMG] tag instead of the [URL] the pics show up in your posts, and we don't have to click the links. :)

i suggest facial hair...and its very good, even though some improvements could be made on it, always good to create new civs, and leaderheads for africa, we need to fill that place up!

But serously, doesn't that necklage (spelling) get used only be women?

I agree with Xen, facial hair would be good, and then you would see if this was a man or woman right away.

No, both men and women wear the necklaces. I will look into adding facial hair, but I don't know if it will work or not. I'm surprised that he's perceived as being feminine. I didn't notice before.

The modern picture will probably work. I like it. The industrial is too small I'm afraid. Thanks for your help. :)

Okay, I tried adding facial hair to make the guy look more masculine. Here's what it looks like--it's also the mad expression. How does the facial hair look? I don't really like it, but I don't think it's too bad.

Does that look like the actor "Ice Cube" to anyone else?

I kinda like the one with the beard better, more masculine.

For modern background you might consider something oil related as Nigeria is pretty well off in that department.

Here's one of the numerous refinery pics found in the net: http://www.gatewaynmra.org/articles/photos/rws-no-refinery.jpg (somewhat big picture so it's behind a link)

And here's a quick example of what it might look like with the guy in front of it.

...
He might look feminine because he looks so young. Is it possible to give him some wrinkles or something, to make him look older?
I think he looks better shaved than with beard, at least with that beard. If he should have beard it should be more patchy. Small curly lumps, if you see what I mean.

Production of this leaderhead is grinding to a halt. First of all, I haven't been able to come up with any clothing schemes for the Industrial and Modern eras, so I haven't made any progress since my last update. Secondly, I will be out-of-town--starting Wednesday--for the next couple of weeks, so I won't be able to work on it. If anyone has ideas for Industrial and Modern looks for when I get back, let me know. I'll see what I can do.

Well, what you have look not only ancient, but also traditional, so you can have something like what you have now.
