I'm trying to upload something to this site using the easy file upload system. The only trouble is, nothing seems to happen when I hit the "upload" button. Then when I try to look in the file list my file is, naturally, not there.

No one else seems to have a problem with this, so perhaps I'm just being unusually dense. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? :confused:

And yes, I did read the directions and check the easy file upload sticky. Neither were very enlightening. :(

Is the file in an allowed format (zip, jpg, gif...)?

Is the file larger than the limit (3000KB)

Have you checked with a direct link to the file's supposed location? (http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads4/********.***)

I would put my money on the last one. I didn't always see my uploads in the list, but they were there when I checked with a link.

Do you have javascript enabled?
Do you get the "File Uploaded Successfully" window after you hit upload?
How big and what type of file and how long are you waiting after hitting upload before you look for the file?

Apparently patience is the key here. I was waiting only about thirty seconds, but I just tried waiting for about a minute, and it worked. Sorry to bug you all. I fell really stupid now. :blush:
