The Chi-Ha is a Japanese Medium tank. Don't have that one or anything like it for the japs so theres a reason to make it.

it would look highly awkward among regural civ3 style units. i'd still like an original 3d animated chi ha

I'm fairly certain the Japs never used anything beyond light tanks.

Are you sure? production of this tank started in 1937 and the first version alone was produced in more than 3.000 units

then why didn't they have anything to resist american beachhead armoured assaults or the soviet thrust into manchuria, for example?

really sorry to go OT, I'll show myself out.

Why put them on an island in the first place, it's really not ideal tank terrain, it's design was also to be an offensive infantry support tank, designed to take out fortifications, this means that putting the tank on an island you is totally stupid and against what they designed it for in the first place
Why they coudn't stop the manchuria offensive
The standard tank is armed whit a 57 mm and the chinoto version only whit a 47 mm, try and take out a KV-2, T-34/85 or IS-2 tank whit that, and again it's design and crew training doctrin didn't dictate it's usage as a defensive weapon, but as an offencive bunker buster

That would be a cool unit.
BTW is that picture from battlefield 1942 because it looks exactly same in the game

@pasi: the japanese not only had a medium tank (chi ha) but also had a heavy tank chi to (look for it on top of this forum since ill be bumping it a lot :) ) Even if the chi to was used to a lesser extent and the chi ha to a lesser extent than the khago, it doesnt mean that in another turn of events, these things wouldnt have been around massively. civ3 is a rewriting of history and so eventualities have to be provided for.

@ville: yes it's from bf42 because thats the best color picture i could find.

Same goes for this unit as well, look it up in the SOE previews here at cfc.

recon, i realize you did a lot of ww2 units but their quality makes the game highly awkward amidst regural civ3 style units since the angles and lighting are messed up.

dont get me wrong, there would be nothing wrong with it being completely full of those units but when you mix them together it gets sour.

i appreciate your quick response but i would still like to see this unit be made more 3d style.
