Maybe it could be used for a small wonder, decriminalization & regulation of possesion? It could reduce corruption or something like that.

Not to annoy you Sa~Craig but it was done earlier maybe in Harlan's resources.

In my Reconquista scenario I used it as a strategic one to create fanatics. A bit like the Assassins of El Alamut (Hassissin : haschis eaters or smokers : that I don't remember).

Weed or hemp has been used througout history to make clothes, ropes etc and offcourse someone has smoked it once in a while too..

But I believe I have read that rope from hemp is superior to other ropes, that is way that they mostly used hemp for ropes in sailing ships

i couldn't find it and i got bored after a while so i quickly knocked this up

In battle weed would not hinder your soldiers, it would make them more alert(from paranioa), increases smell and hearing, and would increase morale. You could trade it for mad, if you were the only Civ that had it. Ah suppling the world with a precious gift. Yes precious, my precious.

Personally, I like using the more general hemp as a resource, just because in history it had way more use than just the plant buds that are so fun to smoke.

Anyway, I have mine set to grow in plains and grasslands, +1 commerce and +1 production. In a way you could it could represent the general use of the hemp fibers (production), and the luxury of a pleasant smoking product (commerce). :cool:

Even though I don't do drugs, and personally don't approve of thier use (although I don't dislike those who do use it unlike that vietcong guy) I must admit... having this available to be added to the game is funny. :-)

Dangerous notions such as "free will & sexual freedom"?? Ever read Brave New World by ummmm......something Huxley?? For some reason I doubt it, but its a great book and you should check it out.

It also dives into the topic of brainwashing & conditioning from birth, something that might hit right at home.

I am not a drug user myself, but it is a product on a market per say. I don't see why it shouldn't be put in the game. Afterall nukes are. Could add some realism as South Americans and Chinese import their drugs into the US for nice amounts of cash. Or to Canada. Or Amsterdam. Or....anywhere.

Fist off let me say that alcohol is far worse than marijuana. With that out of the way, I think that marijuana could be used as a medicine to combat early pop loss and as a prerequisite for Cure for Cancer. Finally i'd apreciate it if you would stop with the pot jokes, they are tired and lost their humor once I turend 15 if you knew more about marijuana you wouldn't be making them. By the way, I quit marijuana ouver a year ago and am still an advocate for it's use and legalization.

if you read the rest of the thread you would go on to see that Vietcong nearly completly changes his mind and i party agree with him if the world had eliminated drugs 25 years ago Phil Lynott would still be alive but just cause heroin killed him it doesn't stop any other bugger using it but i've always said that i won't touch it cause of lynott, but weeds different its less harmful than normal (legal) smoking because of the tar they put in cigarettes.

I know this isnt a request thread but i figured that someone in here may already have the icon seeing as how beer and marijuana go together so well.
