Since we are fairly sure that SirPleb had no idea that we were working on a special Spotlight recognition for his Gotm18-Celts game, all of the members of the Civ3 GOTM Staff would like to take this opportunity to give our special thanks and applause to SirPleb for truly what has to be regarded as one of the top strategy games that we have ever reviewed in a Civilization gaming event.

Less than one player out of a thousand will ever be able to win games by more than one victory condition at a time, but to play a perfect opening game and then set up the game to be won by every possible victiory choice is truly amazing.

I am deeply honored, this really is a wonderful surprise! (And it is a complete surprise.)

I feel that this game is the best I've played. This is a strange thing since it didn't include some elements (eg. tech didn't advance far), didn't win a medal, and wasn't at the highest difficulty level. I've played games which looked harder and I've scored higher. But this one felt like my best.

So this Spotlight immortalization is very special indeed to me!

I too have learned much in the last two months reading SirPlebs timelines and posts. For a player, lucky enough to win one victory condition, having all of them available is quite amazing.
